GODDAMNIT another huge thread discussing serious issues the player base is concerned about and no word or input from the staff.
LET US KNOW YOU STILL CARE ABOUT THIS GODFORSAKEN GAME.
I quit for many of the reasons stated in this thread and similar, but I WANT TO COME BACK, REALLY, I DO. However, i sort of believe this game is dying. I feel like the staff doesn't care and furthermore I feel a sense of spite from the staff. I feel like there is a cosmic separation between players and staff and its goddamn bullshit. We all want the same fucking thing: a thriving SoD.
I remember when I first started (2004 i think) wiz would respond to every fucking suggestion and concern that someone had about his game. When the players were upset about something (meditate change, BoE, for example) he would be there to explain, debunk, ect. Maybe that's because this was his game, his baby. He owned it. I do not get that sense from the current staff. Do you (staff) really think we can't tell how disorganized you are and how little communication you have with each other?
People aren't just going to play this game because it's there and it's free. This is a small community, it needs a leader. Woldaff, where the fuck are you?
So, staff that probably won't read this or respond: Where do you see this game heading? What are your concerns? Plans to address those concerns? FUCKING LET US KNOW WHAT YOU'RE THINKING, LET US KNOW WHAT IS ON YOUR MIND.

What an ignorant post. Way to call out people who volunteer their time. If they didn't care they wouldn't be doing it for free. It seems like a good thing that you quit ><
As for the xp increase, yeah it'd be nice but at the same time why does everyone want to "catch up" so bad. It'd be a ton of top tier competition and nothing but aggravation. The fact that the tiers are spread out (currently I can think of two tier 4-6 guilds, two tier 7-8-9 guilds, two tier 10 guilds and one thats pushing al little higher.
The thing is that no matter what tier you're on it's the same game with different numbers. So just go xp, be on the tier you're on and play and enjoy... you don't need to have tier 13 items and 60 tomes to have fun at this...
The majority of everquest players are competitive by nature. Do you know what it is like getting a server first kill on any server/game/MMO? Some of my best friends are from people I have gotten those kills with. It's just a great experience really. I have always been big into the cutting edge content, I love hearing about the hardest fights on the server even though I am not even close to being ready for them.
It is not an ignorant post. I am aware that they volunteer their time. You, however, seem to be ignorant of fact that people can do things for free without caring about said things.
My post was more about expressing my view of how they come across and asking that they share more of their views and opinions.
Assuming what everyone else finds fun in this game is ignorant.

Yeah, it is kind of disheartening when very active threads do not get a staff reply. Topics that are repeatedly posted about too. Even something like "XP rates are the best, you are all stupid whiners, trash canned!" would be preferable to silence.

Well I don't agree with Rekrule's delivery at all. I do get the idea he is pointing at though. I think the exp gap is a bit much though. AA's gain is smooth and fun but the tome grinding is a bit out of hand.
A lot of people really would like to Alt but I think the dedication required for main toons is extreemly steep.

I am also a concerned bitch baby who wants to make my eventual departure from shards of dalaya a lot faster.
I just want to let you guys know that exp / tome grinds are too fucking long and the added time has ruined my life in the following ways:
1. I'm fat
2. I have to replace my computer chair once a year from the amount of extra time im sitting at the chair.
3. The late nights raiding has caused me to eat more therefore cost me more money.
4. I have added too much log time on my Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse, and other computer accessories.
5. I have added stress from the staff ignoring my posts.
The game has benefited my life in the following ways:
1. I have not been robbed / mugged out in the mean streets of Miami
2. I have not been killed in the mean streets of Miami.
3. I have yet to get a DUI the nights I'm playing shards of dalaya
4. I have found an effective way to ignore my wife.
As you can see the game is more negative than good. Please get off your high chairs and assist the player base who is concerned about their inability to do CMAL3.2 without having to first get 5 codex of power.
