I am going to assume that you mean the new stuff Slaar has been testing recently, and if so then your saying the DPS stuff is fixed? That's all really care about atm. As much as I did like WW stance and I thought we were getting WW with 2handers back, I won't complain too much. Auxing and DPS are 2 things I'll take, though It was my understanding from this thread, that we would be PERMANETLY in the front. That was the whole purpose for all this. Was to give mnks that identity. They are Auxing DPS. Rogues are striking from the shadows, Rangers are sniping the mob from afar, and Mnks are bashing the mobs skull in from the front.
to achieve that you need 2 different stances than 2 and s3. first thing to be addressed, what is so special about a mnk that he gets 2 stances with NO drawbacks. Well...hes pure melee and its a mnk...Why wouldn't his stance be perfect. In my honest opinion Rogues should get a permanent stance with no drawback because again, pure melee. BS and hide is ALL hes got. No spells, no pet, nothing. bst get pet, rangers get spells wizards get nukes/ports/pet/a buff to give to melee. Pure melee is in my perception giving up spells, and in return achieving perfection, through long practice, in their stances/styles/abilities. Also we saw that in a warrior. s4 no drawback, no atk speed loss (as far as I know) just pure mitigation. why? because he has no spells. He can't just cast, and hes a WARRIOR he is the TANKY melee! he don't slow down!
anyways, If u gave 2 new stances to a mnk, 1 DPS and 1 Defensive, and gave them procs you've removed the whole well in aggressive I take more hits but I need to DPS from the Front! and you have a avenue to fix DPS loss from atk speed. give a small DD or even a AC debuff proc on the enemy (or maybe something that just makes the mnk himself hit a little harder) and in defensive (if we are in this we are generally off-tankin or the healers are low and cant spare to heal us or just plain dead) with that in mind, Rune or AC or heal over-time proc. Why do i suggest a DD or hit a little harder? Well again attack speed in the front is bad. More atks = more ripos = more dmg. small DD or DoT with AC debuff or Debuff that increases dmg from the Mnk allows us to make up for no atk speed with raw dmg. okay, defensive, Runes, AC buff, or HoT, sound OP unless u make them small or a low Proc rate. Honestly I prefer them to be small and have a good proc rate. a 50 pt rune or AC buff (buff slots are low Songs are not so if u can apply these procs through song or whatever that would help) with a 5% or more proc rate is more,useful than a 1% proc rate of a 500 pt rune, and a 50 Ac (iksars get this naturally dont freak out.) compared to 100 AC that rarely procs, and a Hot for 50 per tick constantly vs 500 per tick which is barely seen cause it's proc rate is low. Personally, I like the rune, and feel if you do it make it a small rune that procs alot. Obviously it needs to scale cause a 50pt rune is nice on low stuff but up in the place where each mob hits for 2k+...it really doesnt help. but yeah, my 2 cents.
When I suggest these, I don't mean something broke that just allows us to sustain 100% on a mob, but if a mnk plays right with FD and clickies he can sustain enough to either finish the mob, or for the healers to go OOM in most situations, and the hit harder is just something for it to be called "DPS stance". Do I really care if you dont do this? not really. Do I think you should since s2 and s3 are kinda...counter productive to this theme of mnk? yes. If I'm focused on auxing while I dps I don't want more atk speed and less dodging, and I don't want to toss myself into tank stance to aux cause then I lose all my dps. Your vision of a mnk is a good one and I like it, its a vision of a DPSer that IS'NT top DPS, but can out last all the other DPS. So give him the tools for this.
