Well I originally had this in that other thread in happyland, but this should probably be a better place for discussion

Enjoy my blocks of text!
Prices have definitely fallen a lot in the last 3 months, I'd say 25%-50% on a lot of the high end droppables, depending on the particular item and its rarity.
I'm working on farming for a 200k charm right now and for several weeks I've been farming all of the 3 day spawns with droppable loot that I could get at. I usually do this with one other person and we roll for loot at the end. This typically nets about 3k-5k per run. So lets give a high estimate and say I make 6k a run, thats at rate of 2k per day assuming I hit almost every single desirable named on a 3 day spawn. At this rate it will take me 100 days, or about 3.3 months to get my charm. I also doubt that the value of the items I am selling will be nearly as high towards this end of this stretch, so this will likely take longer.
Now, even if I am going to get a charm like this after like 4 months of farming, it will be even harder for other people to get money from dropped loot; outside of these spawns on 3 day spawn timers, first ruins and highkeep still have some potential for droppable loot, but outside of that, things aren't worth a ton.
I would go ahead and farm cash if I knew some great places, I might try DN or something sometime will two really good characters and see how that goes, but I have doubts as to whether or not it will net as much as was possible simply farming Cyc Gorge (500-1k an hour depending on your luck). Most of the people buying my items (from what I've seen) are in guilds like Chaotic Winds, Blight of Karma, Fusion etc, so usually lvl 65, not buying for a twink or anything. It used to be possible to farm for cash (which helps spur purchases of items) but now with the farming spots nerfed people don't want to spend time farming just because it takes so long, so item prices will just keep going down.
