Apparently if you get one of the 2 augs you can never go back and get the other. I got the empress head aug forever ago b/c we finished with SK/SE and where going to be in DHK for a while longer. Within the last week, I completely switched factions and got the king head to get the new aug. After getting ally and turning it in, which failed, I was told that i was flagged for getting an aug.
Apparently, when you get one aug, you can never go back and switch factions and get the other. Lore wise and logically this makes no since. In lore, I reformed my ways and went with the better path, and in doing so my ALLIED leader would help me by granting me the aug. Or He would be scared b/c I raped the previous leader and give me the aug out of fear. Or I could technically rip it from his cold dead hands. Or....
Logically if i were not able to switch augs then I should theoretically never be allowed to be ally again, which would mean an overhaul in faction(which is impractical). No matter how you look at it, there is no reason why and aug shouldn't be attainable.
From a more overview look. There is no quest in this game that operates in this manner, granted the other augs aren't faction bound. There is no warning, and after some searching, I wasn't able to find any warning on the forums(even though i shouldn't have to). If this is the case, shouldn't there be a warning put in yellow text before you do your first turn in?
Im mainly looking for any comments by people who believe that something is wrong or should be changed and why, or by anyone who has a reasonable counter to my argument. GM/Dev/.../Wiz input would be greatly appreciated as well. I am trying to get a feel for public opinion in hopes to get this changed.
Edit: Also I can see why for a game stand point they wouldn't want you switching back and forth a dozen times, but even from the xp stand point. If i killed the next king i dont see why "my king" wouldn't want to reward me w/ more xp and another aug(except for it would be overpowered to have more than one aug, hence them being lore)
