SoD 2.0 - What's going to happen II

Yeah, the way raid guilds gobble up players will be severely reduced by the fact that raid guilds won't want to recruit heavily due to the small raid cap.

I have been confused about a certain issue for a while now, and having spoken to 2 different GM's I am still not terribly clear as to what the rule would be on this.

Say a guild is raiding a zone like Sepulcher of Darkness or Outer Prison. This hypothetical guild is rather large and has an excess of characters. So this guild bring their 18 man force to Sepulcher or Prison, and then brings another 3-7 characters along with them. Is this against the rules?

The way I see it is that a guild can drag buff bots and rez bots along with their raid and forego having to actually include these characters in any sort of raiding at all. The bots could (in theory) be used to rez the real 18 man raid, and buff them with extremely little down time. I don't know if this is what is actually happening, but it seems like that bringing extra bots on raids is sidestepping the 18 man cap, allowing guilds to circumvent the problems that come along during wipes and what not by having bots follow them around. Xeldan told me that it was against the rules, Kas told me he thought it was just efficient, and I have not seen this issue addressed on the forums or in game, while I continue to see guilds with 20+ in raid zones. If this is indeed against the rules, could you make that very clear to the raiding guilds?

Bringing along extra buff/heal/rez bots is not okay. Having extra logged out characters in the zone to replace people who leave is okay.

I know we keep a couple extra toons in the zone on a waiting list to get in to the raid. With the low raid cap we certainly aren't going to wait 30 minutes to shuttle another player in everytime somone decides to just get up and go.

So, the rule would be 18 from a guild in a zone, maybe 19-20 if people are switching characters around, but not 19+ for the entire raid?

As long as they aren't actively helping the raid it's no problem at all.

What about lets say a monk pulls and sees wrong he thinks he has only 1 mob whit him and has 9 of em instead =D

Raid gets killed faster than Phlit can spell to Aanallain :keke:

So if lets say random clr is boxxed or waiting at zonein ( or a safe spot ) comes and rezzes ?

Is that ok ?

TY guyver, but the reason that was posted is to have Wiz or another admin post a completely clear *Hey, forsaken, steel, ruin, pr, if you rez up your raid with a boxed cleric out of raid, there will be consequences.*

atleast, thats what I want, and i've heard others hope for a similar statement, such as was given about what is required to lock a zone down.

Are you not too good at reading?
It doesn't get much clearer than this.

Wiz-
"Bringing along extra buff/heal/REZ BOTS IS NOT OKAY."

I made it bigger so maybe it's easier to see.

What about a cleric who is Neither in raid, nor in same guild, that just happens to be watching raid from a fair distance, goes and decides to rezz a couple clerics, just for the sake of it? Technically, is not a rezz bot, just another player, who has too much free time, and decidd to tag along to watch them kill their stuff. Is this still against laws?

Oh goodness. Drop the bs "what if THIS highly unlikely situation occurs" hypotheticals. The admins decide shit on a case by case basis. They know what the rules were meant to do. If it sounds like it's cool, it's cool 99% of the time.

Read Lector's reply, it pretty much covers what I was going to say.

Well, it's not that unlikely... I follow PR sometimes, and rezz them when they wipe. Get me right... I'm no Stalker. I always ask them permision first, to watch, and do that cause I have like too much free time. And, a couple times, I was there rezzing their clerics. So not really a unlikely situation, but a semi-common ocurrence. So I'd like to know if I'm entitled to do this, or does it breaks the laws. I don't buff them, I don't heal them, I don't go and get agro... I just watch, from a safe distance, and rezz one or two of them, if they wipe, so they don't have to run back. Is this REAL case legal? Am I entitled to do that?

With the new 18 man raid its almost imposible to camp out a rezzer in time, and without a rezzer out of raid, that, will mean almost a 30 min break in raid, while the porter get mana out of death fatigue, the clr arrive there to rezz and the raid buff again.
So i dont see that bad to have a clr out of raid just to rezz if you wipe. But yeah im waiting for some kind of rule that forbide it or allow it, since "its not okay", dont sound like we will ban you if you do or something clearly enougth, at least for me.

A rezzer outside the raid gives no advantages in fight, it just saves annoying waiting times. I don't see a reason to forbid that.
