how were they not able to disband raid?

Believe it or not, it happens. Disband group, works. Open raidwindow, disbandkey is inactive (tho you still see yourself in raid). Type /raiddisb 100 times and simply nothing happens.

Has this officially been changed to you cant have more then 18 in a zone before you engage a mob?

Based on Wiz's response to threads an IRC, we've been operating under this belief. I would like to see all of the other guilds on the server take a similar stance, as I believe that it is the 'right' thing to do, but that's just me. Any chance we could get official clarification here?

It'd be nice if there were some rules posted somewhere, to avoid GMs turning up and harassing you because you happen to have someone waiting to join your raid @ the zone in... (and you (and everyone else) not knowing there's some spontaneous new rule existing)

the only time i have ever seen that problem is people leaving the raid and logging, in which case that is a problem with people, not the raid window

We've encountered all sorts of quirks like this with raids. One person leaves, disbands, raiddisbands. We all zone somewhere, and that person is back in the group in the raid window, but not the group window. If people change groups, this can happen as well. Most of the problems I've seen have involved changes made to the raid not surviving through zoning.

In our particular case, there was no zoning involved. The groups and raid were formed once everyone had entered SE. The first time a person left, they did infact forget to disband and simply logged (it was a boxed toon, and was logged without zoning out of SE). That character was then logged back in, still in the same zone as the rest of the raid, and was unable to disband. That was the first reformation. The next time a member wanted to leave, he attempted to disband from the raid while still in the zone, before logging and everything, and was still unable.
I see that some people have had this problem before the new 18-man cap, and I likely just didn't notice it due to the fact that it didn't matter if someone couldn't disband, you could still invite more, up to the 36-man limit (I assume, as I don't think we have gone over 24 or 25 members for a raid yet). Anyway, there it is.
