Join the adept hunters! Successful Raids: 12 (lvl max: 35)

Heheheh, nice screenshot!! Since part of the fight was on the flat sand, probably half the corpses arent even in that shot. That was crazy, but an Adept went down :lol: Oh yeah, grats on us killing the Haunted Treant tonight for our 10th Adept. Draknor should be posting screenies soon ;)
 
Awesome job guys, the Hunters have slain yet another foul creature. I have documented our adventure in a series of photographs, how novel!

Once again, Drawde came to our rescue, providing the second cleric that we needed to achieve this mission. With him in tow, we charged towards the Treant's dwelling.



Gathered on the edge of his pit, the Hunters and I looked upon our target with bated breath, and blades were readied as my troops awaited my order...



I struck the treant and challenged him to combat! The hunters stood by until I called for the rest of the fighters to engage my target, with healers and nukers standing by. Oh no! The dreaded land shark!



Once again Zerging is the strategy of choice, as we continued to pounce upon the Treant, not letting him escape and totally regenerate. Finally one of the hunters laid the final blow, and the monster was down



Congratulations to Eterra and Cormano, who won the Runewood Greaves and Mask of Enchanted Bark respectively.



Thanks to all who participated! I would love for some of our newcomers to join us once again. A special thanks to the regulars who have stuck with me for quite a while longer than I thought your patience would hold. We're going to try each adept one more time, and then we're moving on to the Maggot Infested Corpse.

Also, I was thinking about hosting an event for Hunters, like a fighting tournament or something like that. If there's anyone who would like to support us in our endeavors, Hunter or not, and could donate some prizes to be handed out, I can provide some prizes of my own as well and we can do something fun. I think it would be good to get everyone together and let people know who we are. Let me know if you guys are interested.

Hey guys, I know some hunters went to the Halfling event but to those that didn't I've taken pictures!

This was my first GM event and I must say it turned out quite unexpectedly. Basically everyone made a newbie halfling and ran around rivervale trying to not die while Wiz did his best to screw with us. I made baby Piddlekins and jumped right in. You have no idea what its like to be in a sea of halflings until you do somethin like this:



we were all teleported into rivervale and sent to the proverbial dogs



Not knowing for sure what was going on, I just tried to hide as well as I could, and thought that swimming in the water would be the best idea ever. Just as I jumped in the air, Wiz announced nonchalantly that we probably shouldn't take a bath. Too late. I was the first to die and boy was I pissed.

Wiz is merciful however, and took pity upon me, giving me the christmas roses, and made my day. I just about died laughing.

Thanks Wiz for yet another awesome event! Once I get my funds together I'm going to get at least a silver subscription as long as I can spare it, whatever I can do to support such a noble endeavor such as yours!




By the way was anyone else surprised that Wiz goes as a dark elf? I always pictured him as a wood elf but I guess he can transform into whoever he wants. Also, I found it funny that another GM had these freakin bad ass weapons, like a sword and dagger while wearing a robe, which I'm sure is impossible except for a GM. Meanwhile Wiz had a shovel :lol:

He could still kill 80 dragons with one whack of that shovel I'm sure :rock:
 
watch it that the shovel of nerf eheheh that one mean weapon beats and other weapon out there check it out in the GM only items area ehhehehe. to nerf or not to nerf . :D
 
Very fun event tonight indeed. So So so much fun, Thanks Wiz!! I was laughing so hard when it first started up in RV. I cant believe you jumped in the water. lol
Grats on winning the Quickest to die prize. :D

Also, lol at Billcosby in that last SS... guess who that is. :p
 
Wow, sounded like it was a blast. I'll try to make it at 9pm est tonight. At least my pet, DoTs and DDs can do some damage.
 
wonderful news guys, Silais the shadowknight has not only volunteered to join us, he has volunteered the use of his Shadowknight even when he's not there. That means we'll always have two guarenteed tanks! Thanks so much man, you've given the hunters a great gift. Remember, raid at 9! Looks like we're hittin the trenat first so meet at mistwoods.

You are all probably expecting an intense story like Drak always tell, but I am no good at that. I will let him do that tomorow. :)

Heres a couple screens from tonight's succesful raid on Sandjaw. Note, it was close to 1 AM here on the East Coast. These aren't the most amazing things in the world, but they work.



The dead GIANT crocodile named Sandjaw. More like, n00bjaw :lol: Yeah, that was terrible. But Bubba(my pet) tanked him for the last % before he died. RIP Bubba, RIP.

Drak won the Sandtooth and Azz won the Battered Journeyman Bag. Azz is an ogre, he doesn't swim very fast.




I had a good shot of the two loot winners, but Quin just had to run in front of me. :p



Finally a shot of just them. Nobody in the way, no tails in the picture. A little close, but it got them.

Thanks Drak for letting me come along! Was a blast.

PS. I bet Drak will tell the story dramatically, so tune in tomoroww.
 
Ok folks tonight is the last 32 raid. I want to give everyone sunday to level up, so we're finishing this set at 11 est. We're doin the treant and according to my calculations the day should be just about to start at that time, so no super tree for us. I hope everyone can make it.
 
The Raid From a Mage's Point of View

Tonight was the final Adept Raid of the 32nd level, and we sure ended this level with a bang. We completely annihilated that stupid tree. Vengeance was served to those who seeked it(IE, Me), and loot was recieved.

The raid was pushed back by about 30 mins or so by Draknor, so we waited at the Shrouded Isle entrance for Draknor to come. Go figure, he did :)



Once all of the Hunters arrived at the grouping spot, we commenced buffing and the sorting of groups. I lead the caster group in the raid of 12 people(That I counted).



Once Draknor gave us the message to move, we moved to the cliff overlooking the Treant. We all looked on waiting to kill that stupid Treant that killed us twice last night.





Draknor engaged the Treant, got it's attention, and sent the rest in. I sent Bubba in and he wailed away. Once a quarter of the Treant's life was chopped away, he called upon us casters to cast away. From the safety of the mountain, out of the range of the Treant's deadly magic, I burned that tree down.



Soon the half of the tree's life was gone. The Hunters continued to hack, chop, slice, and burn away.



Not long after than, the mighty Treant fell. We all waited patiently while fallen Hunters were revived and we all re-grouped.



It dropped two items. A Runewood Bracer and a Treantwood Crossbow.



The winners of the items were Koomoo and Tressee. I snapped a quick screenshot of the two of them while I could. Draknor snuck in there as well.




All in all, a very successful raid by the Adept Hunters. Alot of fun, and now moving on to the level 35 Adept, The Maggot-Infested Corpse!
 
I am planning to host a few Adept Hunter events for the general population of dalaya. I made a thread about what ideas I was throwing around right here. By the time we host these we should be 35 and ready to take on the corpse. Since the next two adepts are 36 engage, I'm pretty sure we can take those on while we're at it as well.

If you guys want to volunteer for the events let me know, I could use some help.
