Join the adept hunters! Successful Raids: 12 (lvl max: 35)

Smoke em if you got em kids, we're giving this a shot tonight. Everyone meet at the Everfrost portal at 11pm est.

edit: hmmm the Server seems to have disappeared! I am so terrible at these rallying charges.

ok I'm scheduling a raid for Sat 8pm est, we might run later depending on people's availability, please let me know if this time is good for you.

Success! After a bit of a slow start getting together, we finally gathered enough hunters at everfrost to begin

We quickly found Goretusk, and found out one thing: He's big

really big

However our brave hunters have not been deterred yet, and our skill and determination paid off. I was the only one that went down, and lasted till the end due to the masterful healing of our clerics and druid.

Congratulations to two time winner Jarroll who won the rightly earned Goretusk Hide Cloak and to Paladin Suron who was glad to get his hands on the Great Mammoth Tusk , a fine weapon which he will put to good use in our next raid...riiiight? :)

Congratulations and thanks to all who participated in this successful raid.

As a sidenote, we attempted to take down Sandmaw at our low levels just to test the waters, so to speak. It did not end well, but we are full of resolve to gain our vengence, once the hunters gain strength. We are going to try again tommorow night, hopefully we will have gained levels by then.

As can be concluded from this, I have decided to move straight through to lvl 32, as we would be spending our valuable time much more efficiently hunting down to lvl 35 adepts instead of just one lvl 33. However if I'm still 30 by the time goretusk pops again, you can bet I'll give it another shot. So if you wanted a go at the big mother, you still may have a chance. Thanks again to all those who attended.

WOW... again WOW

You guys have done so much since we first got this rolling. Saddens me greatly I have not been apart of it all. Even sader I afriad I will never catch up to you guys now.

Computer Blue Screen of Death, unrecoverable. So I have no computer that can Run SoD :(

It will take me some time to get backup and running (2-3weeks I imagine)

What I will try to do is orginize a second Wave of Adept Hunters since i will be so far behind. The later Adepts require alot of people so having a second wave of people working together isn't a bad idea :) As the first wave moves on the second wave should be ready to step up.

Of course I can't start this until I get a working computer again .

kiren I was givin it some thought, and I think it would be a great idea for you and I to make new char and start from Rabb the rat! I think at least a few of the folks who have been with us will be down for making new characters to kill ol rabb, and then we can begin an endeavor to start from the very first adept right on to the rest. I have a mage that's just a babe, and I can start up a druid or something and we can begin from square one! Tell me what you think guys, I think it would be great for those who have been looking at our thread and saying damn I wish I could catch up to you guys but one char is too high and the other is too low. I figure this way we'll be able to fit in almost everybody!

I like this idea,

I had always wanted to take on rabb the rat, but when I found out about adepts I was already level 5, then thought I would try for the bettle queen. And got into a BB group and leveled up to 13 before finding out you could only be level 12 for her. So this would be great.

I have been thinking of making a Magican Myself, always wanted to play one, as I have played Necros (52) Enchanter (18th) wizards never intersted me to much as I played a petless caster to 58 (druid).

Mmm.. what to Tag Team with a Magican... Had also thought of a Beastlord

Im a level 16 necro right now, Im not sure what I can attack or what I cant, but ill join in on some if I can.

Last night we had one of the most excitiing adept raids yet, and after a few tries, the hunters conquered Sandjaw!

I was having doubts as to whether I should make the announcement, but when a few folks messaged me and told me they were down, I was inspired to rally the troops. We had grown stronger since our last hunt and our resolve for revenge had been steeled when we met defeat to this monster before. Our forces gathered and prepared to strike...Qubeley told me she would personally kill me if I took pictures of her with the new models on so I made sure to protect her honor.

Lookin good Qubeley.

Unfortunately, the nature of this raid means that I had a hard time taking pictures, so I will provide a play by play:

Knowing full well that a fight underwater was going to make things almost unbearable, we decided to lure the croc out of his underwater tower and into our poised blades. However, this big bastard could both summon anyone that aggroed him, and root them...UNDERWATER. We had to find a way to lure him all the way onshore without our puller dying and losing the mob back to the deep. Qubeley the bard brought forth our solution when she informed me that she could pull it with one of her songs without causing aggro and thereby avoiding the dreaded summmon. Thanks to her wise suggestion we had our course of action. Try as we might however, we could not stay alive long enough the first time, health was falling too rapidly and our druids simply weren't made to handle such an assault. Things looked grim, until a familiar cleric appeared at the nearby docks, and let me know he was here to help.

Drawde was here, and with this new information, we now had the staying power to slay this beast. However our monk could not join us in this next charge, and we lost one of our vanguard. The Hunters, however, have the flexibility to quickly enlist aid from every corner of the world, and soon enough, a ranger appeared at our side, blade in hand and bow ready. Filled with new confidence I sent the pull order and our skilled bard jumped in ready to charge! She was then immediately attacked by a pack of crocodiles. We really need to work on this dramatic charge thing. We disposed of them and continued, and when Qubeley bravely died within the depths of the lake to get Sandjaw far enough to pull with my arrow, the fight began...

I swam as fast as I could to the shore, my health failing rapidly as the beast ruthlessly summoned me and tore me to within an inch of my life. I turned and attempted to strike him one more time, but my arm had grown weak, and my spear glanced off his armored hide...I had not been able to target the beast soon enough, and he had summoned me to a greater depth than expected. I had to make a choice: was my vanguard strong enough to keep Sandjaw at bay, or should we wait till I returned to life and try to pull again? If one thing is important in keeping a raid successful, it is trust, and with a knowing smirk I used all my remaining strength to lead our target to his doom. As the blackness closed around me, and movement became impossible, I uttered one word before falling to oblivion: "Pull"

I awoke at the beach and was pleased to hear the continued sound of blades slashing into the monster. I knew however, that the the vanguard was teetering quite close to Death's door, it would not be long now. They did not let up though, and Suron's flaming blade exploded forth with blazing scarlet-tinged novas upon the hide of our quarry. I did not know what to think, and looked at Qubeley wondering if she was considering the same thing I was. Time moved unbearably slowly, and with each passing moment I became worried that my hastily formed plan would fail. One tank fell, and Sandjaw was quickly finishing off the last one. As his balance faltered, and Sandjaw bit into him for the final strike, my death fatigue wore off, and with a series of driving blows I hoped to regain the hate that I had inspired in him before I fell. Quebely had jumped in seconds earlier, and her song had never stopped, serving as the anthem for our victory as the healers struggled to regain the energy to keep us alive, and the casters readied their next nukes. Sandjaw seemed invincible. but with one final united assault the hunters struck him down just as I succumbed once more. I did not care that I had needed to die...we had won.

Congratulations to Suron, whose able Paladin and Mage gave us very important support in this fight. Enjoy your Battered Journeyman's Bag, you earned it. I am happy to report that I retrieved quite a treasure from that croc bastard's innards in the form of the Sandblister Chestplate I consider this a gift from all the hunters as a result of your hard work and loyalty, and I can't thank you enough for it.

I'm trying to see who would be interested in a raid tommorow night. If I get enough names I'll be glad to organize another raid for both Sandjaw AND the Haunted Treant. I would like to politely request from anyone who knows it, how to figure out what time it will be in Game on certain times in Real Time. The haunted treant is undead, and I would like to schedule a raid for it during in-game day hours. Is there a formula or a chart I could use? I know an hour is like 23 or somethin minutes, but I don't know when that starts or begins with that information alone. Thanks to anyone that can help.

I'm going to schedule a raid for 10:30 pm est tonight, contact me in game at around 7 and I can tell you where we'll be meeting, which will depend on the in-game time of day. Hope to see many of you there, Hunters!

I tried to organize a pick up raid at oasis and sandjaw wasn't there! :? I got really embarrassed and had to apologize profusely to everyone. It's taken me a few days to live it down, but I'm ready to give these two another try. Look for me at around 6pm est, we'll see if we can get some gatorskin!

Oh and for your enjoyment and encouragement, I would like to show you this:

I'm not usually a fan of this sort of speak, but come on, that's gotta be a sign right? I'm seein great things hunters!

I made it to lvl 29, so Im ready to start joining the raid again. However, 6pm est, Im still at work for another 2 hours  I'll see if you're still trying later though ;)

I have a 31 rogue named Trystar available, just send a tell to Yazz or Trystar if I am online I will join you. Please post the time as well online that way i can make sure to make it.

Ok, we're going to try a raid tonight at 10 pm est, let me know if that's good for you guys because I can adjust it. We didn't have enough people on yesterday but this time I'm hoping that our regulars will have leveled up by now and can join us, and that friday will bring more people. When it gets close to 10pm est I'll post here where we're going to meet, either mistwoods or oasis. Ok guys hope to see you there!

My apologies for not coming back for the raid last night, after the third try I couldn't log back on try as I might. Oh how tempermental these things can be. I hope everyone was finally able to kill that bastard.

Ok this time I have lined up a cleric before hand who will be available. We're going for another attempt to sweep these two adepts at 8pm est. I want everyone who has said they're available in this thread to step up and show up. I'm going to send a message to those who have posted here just so they know. Also, we might be able to tweak the time a bit but you have to let me know. I told our cleric to be there by 8pm est though. I hope you can all make it, because if you do this thing's already dead.

OMG! You mean you didnt see the end? We wiped, but didnt give up. Everyone who died just kept coming back after death effects wore off and kept hitting him. We managed an endless train of recently dead raiders coming after him and coming after him and coming again. I swear the fight must have lasted 30-45 minutes. I know I died probably 5-6 times easily and kept going back to do more damage before he chewed me to bits again. It was insane. The bottom line is, we FINALLY got him down, and loot was achieved :D Lets hope with healers we can make it a bit more efficient next time. Change that forum topic to 9 adepts killed!!!

sounds even more exciting than the last fight I had with him...well in that case we may be meeting in mistwoods as I doubt he's re-popped, but I will check Oasis.

However we're going to have to delay the raid for two and a half hours more..could somebody please go in game and let our warrior/cleric Hason know this? I suddenly got swamped with pressing matters. Thanks in advance.
