Fletching Revamp Megathread

I am unable to combine 5 Large Bundles of Training Short Arrows with a Quiver, I'm probably doing it wrong, but it worked for the Training Flu-flu's..

Is there any way to make quivers combine with less than 5 large bundles? If I'm goign to start making +bane dmg arrows I don't always want to make 1000 of each type...maybe I only want 400 undead arrows etc.

Also would it be out of line to ask for a reevaluation of Mob Body types in the T8 raiding zones if what Kedrin said is true. While I appreciate your effort in the revamp I feel like its a little needlessly complicated with all the different types of 8+4dmg arrows you created and there is already going to be enough work on the players side in making all the arrows he will need for the many different monsters he's going to be shooting at. A little consistency in zones/wings would be nice.

Yes you could say "you don't have to use bane dmg arrows all the time". But I want my toon to perform at the highest level and if that involves toting around 5 different quivers every night then I will do it but I'm asking for a little help.

Quick question: Is there or has there ever been any plan of adding in a throwing item to fletching? I ask because there aren't a ton of pulling/tagging options with decent range on them. Driizz's comments about the tradeskill more or less only being for rangers or those who wanna make money off rangers made me think of this, paired with my experiences on live (read: fishbone darts). I just know I've never been a tradeskill type, but I did take the time on live to tradeskill fletching up to fb dart level. Something like this could possibly open fletching up to monks at the very least.

Arguably your power potential went up.

Yes but only in some circumstances. I'm just asking for more consistency, or at least for things (mob types) to make sense.

Like in UC there is the beastlord boss. I'm guessing the pet is animal, master is humanoid (iksars are humanoid). And then they both switch to redacted body type presumably. So that'd be 3 types of arrows I'd need for that fight.

Is it possible to combine a quiver with less than 5 large bundles? And if not could you make it so it IS possible. I don't think forcing players to always make 1000arrows of the type they want makes much sense.

Ugh all this "making due" and 'you don't HAVE to use ____arrows" talk is rather annoying. I guess for that particular fight yeah you could make due. But everybody likes to min/max at the high end, making it more of a hassle to do so for one class is aggravating.

Listen I am going to tell you a secret, if you don't min max and just use whatever kind of arrows no one is even going to know!

I was thinking Cold Dmg arrows would be the way to go, if my nukes don't land the cold dmg on my arrows wont either, but at least I'll know whether it is or not. Also exposure is a CR debuff so that will help. But Disease and poison would be good too.

I will know! And also I post parses of good parse boss fights and we all epeen over them so there is that. I enjoy being top dps on the few fights were I am at an advantage over rogues and our mage and I want it to stay that way!

Some devs were apparently... less than concerned about body types when they created zones. I'm in the process of making the humans, spectres, giants and possibly other things in PoFrost not animals. Post any other zones/mobs that are grossly inaccurate if you notice them ;p

If Woldaff would stop copy and pasting Millicent all over the place this wouldn't happeN!

Is there anywhere to go to read up on how this new system works? Fairly new to playing a ranger, not so sure what the deal is with quivers/buying arrows/combines, etc.
