Okey, i have been planning to discuss this for a while. Not sure if this has been brought up before or not, but, here we go.

Lately i have seen that some Farhags are not in same timers (been killed in diff order) like, Gondolas/Parildec a few weeks ago, were sniped before Forleit was up, and then when forleit came up, there was only Forleit and HC to be pwned (both hardest and not gimmie loot mobs). Then the other week, Parildec was the one that got sniped again before forleit came up...

Issue i have here, is not like Exodus/Bane/Chaoticwinds, or some guild that can beat forleit snipeing these, issue i see here is ppl been PuGraid or just lower tier guilds come here just for these "Gimme loots" mobs (Ferdo/Parildec/Gondo).

So my suggestion is: Make all the mobs that pop after Forleit (since he is the guardian of this wing) pop only if he is up. That way if you wanna get the easy Farhagians like Gondo and Parildec, you will have to beat their guardians. (Cuz i really feel like not beating Forleit is definetly skip content).

Another Skip content issue has been happening in UT, last week we killed both Mini then UT fire boss, then 4 days later, some guild(no idea wich) came in and killed just the big named dude, and left Magmar there... Before i took my break, i remember we wanting to skip magmar, and GM's tell us that this was skip content issue, and couldnt be done, and RaidLeader would be jailed if do so. Did the rule change? If not, to prevent this, if Mini is up, he should come aid the boss imo. So that way ppl wouldnt skip it.

So, what yall think about it?

I have no idea how end game means here, but I played a game that had random timers on certain encounters and the game designers always put a really hard encounter before a gravy or call it a cream puff bonus loot mob. The one catch that worked was if the random timers were off and the cream puff spawned before the hard encounter, the cream puff wouldnt drop anything. They did that to see if people would complain and complain people did, but then after a few of those encounters were modified, no one killed the cream puffs before the real encounter so it was a good fix (for that game).
 
Have not killed in this wing yet so I am going to phrase this oddly. If the guardian drops loot, this will not work. Make the guardian spawn sooner than the rest of the wing. If he does not drop loot you could make him spawn again within a few hours but if he does drop loot you could just shave a bit of time off him so he still spawns about the same. Just my idea.
 
The problem is as much as folerit as it is that two of the bosses have zero strategy involved and are straight up tank and spank which is rather ridiculous considering the majority of tot isn't and as well for being at their tier. Its disgusting.

You atleast can have a challenge on folerit,gondolas, and high chieftain. Not so much with parildec and ferdolen
 
Basically, the only way your going to die against Parilden or Ferdolen is it your rocking a full set of tmap gear. Dudes are such a bad joke they aren't even funny.

Halve their loot drop rate, double their spawn time rate.

Would ensure they were up more often, and then if you have to kill him you won't be completely unrewarded.

Actually, most mobs should be 1 loot/kill anyways, but that's a completely different issue.

Moving this to S&R for appropriateness.
 
I am not suggesting any nerfs or make em different, i just feel like been able to kill parildec or gondo or even HC, without having to beat Forleit... is just skippin content, same way i feel about Thaz, if you go straight to the boss without beating his mini, this shouldnt be possible.
 
Good Solution=>

1. Spawn time=> Same

It's also unclear as to whether you are suggesting one should have to beat folerit every time (which is stupid).

2. Folerit pops spirit after, tatt flags you for next mobs up in farhag. Add barrier, impassable without flag.

The portal is not even supposed to be active unless Magmar is dead. I originally designed the towers with progression in mind so that you had to kill the mini-boss to even attempt the tower boss.

The issue is that someone will kill the mini, a few days later the name pops and a different guild kills the name, without having to engage/beat the mini.

In his example (or recollection, really) Magmar was up when the guild killed Nashtav, which isn't supposed to be possible. You're not even supposed to be able to get to Nashtav with Magmar alive.

Yes because all content that gets increased in difficulty is the result of the highest end guilds complaining. Spoiler alert pal everyone was on tier at some point. The fights are garbage and far too easy and simple compared to everything else in the zone.

The only fights in tot that don't have an any form of a strat: Djar mini, Ferdolen, Parildec and the bird mini. The two mini's are from the first two wings. Even the first boss has something attempting to be a strategy.

Then you have bloodfire and mephar who all entail some strategy and have a nasty increase in difficulty and fights that actually involve multiple aspects other then just stab shit. Now you have triumphed and enter the farhag wing, the supposed bad ass megaman power tribe guarding the eternal well to suddenly find out that:
1) They have the easiest trash with the exception of the chieftain mobs
2) The first boss is the BIGGEST JOKE IN TOWER OF TARHYL, having literally nothing more to him then a gimp fire aoe.
3) You get to folerit and cry tears or
3b) Someone else killed folerit and you arrive at parildec who like ferdolen his predecessor has absolutely NOTHING involved in killing him, you walk up and hit him until he dies. Granted he might fuck up some undergeared tanks but really.


The fights are a joke, they are not in anyway aligned with the rest of the zone or the lore that they are supposed to be the elite guardians of the well. There is no strat, their dps is not anywhere near high, They don't serve as a gearcheck for sure. On tier they are simply loot pinatas and it is boring as hell to do them.

I remember when folerit would stay up for months because noone had the balls to take him on and they would just sit there ahead of spawn time to get ferdolen and gate the fuck out after they rotted an axe.

I'm sorry I am not a fan of free loot and bad encounters. Since I know you all care about me and my opinions I do not have any grudges against rust, valorb and pofrost outside the ice spinners loot being way to fuckin good.

Ok, lets start the PoFrost crying, Waahhhh ice spinner is too easy, Loot is too good. fix it magically fixing faeries. Exactly, After you done crying about ToT's Farhag wing, Your giong cry about icespinner. After you done crying about icespinner your going cry about Clockwork / Silver. After your down crying about rust your going cry about IP, It's a vicious cycle you want to start here. with Thaz being the catalyst.
