By doing this beastlords lose even more use. Bards have other uses in raids than spell damage and they do those things so well they make us look bad. Spell damage is all that beastlords do for raids. Even dividing it by half makes them useless on and off raids.

Going to definitely agree on this. Bards are an often necessary (well not necessary, but the raid ends up being alot more painful without one, and for some fights are ultimately necessary) part of any raid. Beastlords don't really. Sure spiritual bliss and vigor are nice, but not nearly as vitally necessary as other class's buffs. No sv? No problem, got sss? The only people hurting are going to be the ones for whom atk matters, which isn't a whole hell of alot of the raid when one breaks it down. Bliss helps you nail the mana cap from effects, but altogether not necessary. Tbh if bl spell dmg is nerfed, well I'd rather have 2 bards on a raid, being as cunning only affects 1 group, and 2 bards=> more raidwide songs=> more benefit to the raid as a whole.
 
In case you hadn't noticed, the changes to Warcry already went in - and they still don't stack with BST buff, which is a better spell focus. Instead wiz re-incorporated an overhaste that used to be inherent in Warcry. I doubt he will change it again any time soon.

I have to agree that I'd not like to see yet another song I can sing that will affect the MT only (For reference, see AC and Rune songs). The added healing focus already implemented in Hymn of the Savoiur well covered the additional healing base pretty well, I'd say: same effect, different method.
 
I'm gonna be as candid as possible: Bards are *really* powerful right now, and if you get an archaic, it will have a side order of a nerf somewhere else.
 
Could we get an archaic that just makes everyone do the /dance emote, then?

This would unbalance the "you got served" encounter in Torment.
 
Not that I really even know how Archaics are obtained. But I understand the concept and all.
I also understand that it would be hard not to overpower us with one. But I have some ideas. played live for nearly 10 years alot of that time as a bard.

Have to give us something to aim for / try for etc.. even IF just for bragging rights =P

SUPER SUPER STUPID FAST Selo's song that lasts like 2.5mins or something. Is it truely all that game breaking that me and my group could NINJA fast run to xp groups / farming spots / raids ? when you think bard you think of speed.

How about a ... fun...pet? Sorta like the veteran AA on live pet but better. He could be a Jester
randomly talk trash to mobs as hes attacking.... randomly shrinking and growing pepole in group ....telling jokes doing emotes etc... etc... it would just be a little DOT really

ROFL yes i know but what about a Bard Rez that uses ALOT of mana or something like that.... we are a "jack of all trades" there is only a few things we can't do... rez .. port ...gate ..FD....

just throwing some ideas out there I read this and got interested =)
