Should SoD allow Zhak to return to SoD?

I have no problem with him coming back, but I can't say I know him besides what I've read on the forums.

Tbh it feels weird to think Zhak isn't in game. Not everyone liked him for sure, he's been an ass many times, but he's somehow a personality here. If he behaves strictly as he implies, I think he deserves his last chance. He's been lurking in the forums and in IRC since his ban and I'm sure it was pretty hard for him.
He could be forgiven rather than forsaken ...... k bad one :p

I think that would be a very good idea. Outside of the forums and OOC, you're usually decently well behaved ;)

I vote yes on the "Return of the Zhakmonster".
 
I don't know you personally but I don't see how one last chance would hurt anyone. If you screw it up then shame on you. If you don't, based on the responses and recent out lash of your banning, then I think SoD would have a great player returned to the world.

On a serious note, I'm torn with my opinion. I really like Zhak and would have no problem with him returning to the server. My only worry is what message we will be sending to the community. I would hope it would be one of grace, but I'm afraid it will be one that says we are not serious about our rules.

Not that breaking one rule is any more ok than another, but I'd like to reiterate that most of Zhak's previous jailings/bannings were due to his lack of self-control (aka his temper/mouth) and not because of stealing or exploiting. For the latter I would say there is little room for a second chance.

If the majority of Dalaya is ok with the lifting of the ban, and if the restrictions put in place are followed by Zhak, again I would have no problem with him returning the the server.
 
Seriously, I can understand the staff wanting to not send mixed messages to the rest of the server, but it also shows that you can and are willing to be fair. Zhak has invested a lot in this game - more than just the monthly donations- and his willingness to ask forgiveness of the population as a whole makes me willing to say he deserves another chance. I certainly don't think it will cause a rash of idiots like myself to challenge the rules and authority or get *too* sassy with teh Wiz.

Bring back Zhak, but make him spend 2 hours a week grouped with Danku for a month until he proves he can behave - if he can survive that, I know he'll be just fine :p
 
Zhak has always been a good guy to me and while he has stirred up some trouble in the past he is still a decent guy. We should all remember that this is a game and games are suppose to be fun and zhak adds some fun to the game. Im all for letting him back.

As for Zhak, yeah he could be an ass but who isnt at some point? Unban him yes, but I am torn about making him reroll or not. It is like the guy on death row who finds religion, they will still fry him. Zhak may need a little singe at least, it isnt like he had not been warned a million times over. There should be something, maybe not as serious as making him reroll but something. Letting bygones be bygones is great but there has to be a limit.
 
I don't have a problem with him coming back. This thread was opened very well and I think he is asking for another chance in a way that is more appropriate than any other banned player before.
 
I vote yes. He seems genuinely sorry, and if he doesn't change his behavior this time he can be given the final boot.
 
I don't know him nor the situation well (so maybe my opinion has no merit?) but I say yes for the sole fact that people can be genuinely sorry.

However, keep him on a tight leash to say the least.
 
What I find interesting is that most people who actually had dealings with zhak in game are saying "Yes" while most of those who have just seen him on the forums and IRC are saying "No".


I think this is showing just how much of a huge troll Zhak has been. He is mostly a nice guy in game if you play with him but is disgusting on the boards.


I am fine with him coming back as long as he follows the rules he set for himself. I like Zhak but I think we can all see how trolly he has been.
 
i dont really care but there is reasons you have been banned before and banned this time as well.
 
As long as the no trolling applies to old grudges too. Zhak was nice and friendly to me until I joined Ruin.

I hear there was lots of history but - ya know if you want to start over, turn over a new leaf... please start over here.

I'm sure you'll find only a scattered amount of names you know in Ruin now and most are only around here and there cuz it's summer break. On a day to day basis most don't care about whatever your grudge was and the rest have moved on.

If you come back, which I'd actually support - Just leave the past as history and treat us with some common decency.
 
sounds like a plan to me. lets see how it rolls out. i myself havent had any problems with zhak. grouped with him before. raided with him.. i dont sit on irc much so i dont hear that.. and i try not to visit the forums any more than needed. yea.. you have had a few chances... maybe this time things will sink into your head=)

i also like the idea of the new char/new slate thing but heh.. he has worked pretty hard for what he has. id hate to see it just poof.
