Took another good look on the Wiki at Shaman Slows the other day
Turgur's Insects (level 51 - Magic Based)
Mana 250
Cast time 3 seconds
duration 5 minutes
Decrease attack speed by 50%
Tigir's Insects (level 58) (Magic - Based AE SLOW)
Mana 350
Cast time 5 seconds
Duration 5 minutes
Decrease attack speed by 50%
Decrease Hate by 200 per tick (this right? 50 ticks 200 hate decrease?, that rocks)
Festering Insects (level 60) (disease based - Quested spell)
Mana 335
Cast time 6.5 seconds
Duration 5 minutes
Decrease attack speed by 50%
Okay, I had thought before that Festering was at least a 60% slow.. so was using that.. but it's just 50.. Looking at the 3 spells I think i'm better off with the magic based lower spells, quicker cast, the AE one has hate reduction... and the mana is a lot less for the single target and only 15 more for the AE.
Anyway, I know at 60 it's diseased based and supposedly easier to land, but to be honest in practice the magic one lands just as much for me.. sometimes even more, some zones I have to use disease to land, some magic.. but I don't see the benefit to the level 60 slow... it's 85 more mana and over twice the cast time of it's magic based counterpart that is a level 51 spell.
Is wiki wrong about the percentage slow?
Suggestion: Reduce cast time on level 60 and/or Mana on it.. or if not too overpowered adjust slow percentage to make the increase in mana and longer cast time worthwhile
