Then would a request that it be made "outdoors" so it doesn't kill any pre-existing movement speed buffs be out also?
i've never died in mop yet...now the dispelling of soulbound buffs is just rude
are you sure it does? cuz.. im pretty sure it doesnt dispell SB. In fact, the last time i was dispelled, i specifically remember my SBs staying there.
If you have max buffs the MoP effects that add a debuff will kill Soulbonded buffs if they are in your first slot.
You wish you could have experienced the game when there was no mop and you ran for 45 minutes to get where you wanted? Go right ahead.
The mop fits in perfectly, you just dont want to see it. You'd rather have instant travel with 0 risk, in which case, you are perfectly free to hire the services of a porter. Or run.
Either way, the recent cropping of mop hate threads isnt going to amount to anything, since the threads themselves are nothing more than "make it easier" or "make it faster", or both.
No. The whole game is a balance of risk and reward. You have other options if you dont want to risk the mop.
people leave apart that you can get lucky, and have the speed buff that makes you arrive to your destination even faster.
Theres no risk involved with paying a translocator NPC to port. Suggesting replacing the mop with such is both making it faster and easier, now it just has a price tag. The benefit of the mop as it is is that its usable by everyone, and everyone takes the same risk in using it.
Reimplementing translocate NPCs for high cost makes it unusable for lower levels, where money is tighter, and harder to come by.
As i stated before, if you want to pay for a port, you can, and nothing is stopping you. If you cant find a port, you certainly can run. But seriously, we arent replacing the MoP with translocator NPCs. It wont happen, regardless of how many good or bad ideas people can come up with.
If the suggestion to implement Translocate NPCs alongside the mop comes up, it will have to have a better reasoning behind it than "I dont like the mop, it feels out of place. It's also too hard" Also keep in mind that the fees charged if the suggestion is made and if it is implemented, will be very high.
He's pretty smart, ngla smart person stated that a the translocator could be an aprentice that could accidently toast you
Have mobs that sit near where you zone in.
When they see you they start running for you. You better watch out, these dude are hungry and mean. They'll bite your legs off and eat you with little remorse! Some of them are faster than others, some bigger, some smaller, but generally they are all pretty slow and easy to outrun as long as you keep moving.
When someone else zones out, you better watch out for mobs that were chasing them, they may now be after you!
There are also mobs there that randomly roam the courtyard/pool area. These are the indigenous kekoferns that feed off the grass and drink from the pool. Beautiful creatures, but don't get too close, they'll snare you and run off if they feel threatened! This could be very bad if you got a big mean mob on your tail.
Once you pass the courtyard/pool area, you need to be weary of the souls of fallen adventurers that now haunt the mansion. Running into one of these guys is not a pleasant experience. They'll dispell a buff or nuke you for 75% of your life, he may sometimes even root you. Sometimes you'll run into a happy apparition. These happy fellas cast the run speed buff on you instead of the other annoying effects. They also have a different model so you can tell the difference between the two.
This will make the MoP more interactive and skill based. It's like running the gauntlet or playing frogger, SoD MoP style.
LOL Ringo! Red pally your life force is running out.
Arrrrhhhgg..
Your post so reminded me of that old arcade game Gauntlet from back in the day.![]()
