NEW MOP THREAD

Over one zone that you're at least somewhat discouraged to use anyway

For better or worse my pattern of play involved running thtough the MoP 10-12 times daily.

you think "the nature of the game" has been "fundamentally changed"?

By which I mean an arcade element (no matter how trivial most of you find it) has been introduced that I am physically incapable of performing. There are a million games out there which require you to agilely move around and mash buttons at a huge rate. The reason I (used to) play this one was that previously no such requirement existed. Hence my "fundamentally changed".

and you think because all of the sudden this one zone out of a ton of them gets changed
While I would certainly not welcome the introduction of arcade elements a change to ANY other zone would not cause me this problem. Almost certainly I could just chose to ignore it. So by all means change ANY other zone so people can go play the dodge they appear to like so much.

I think a break will do you some good man

We are in agreement!!!!

Good luck

Thank you.

The only thing I dislike about the new MoP is the amount of lag I experience due to all the corpses. I swear it's like some of you people purposely die in there so you can come to this thread to bitch.

Err i'm not sure if its a bug but my 18 Beastlord Ran into a few of the 4 armed things, they just screamed at me no death at all... is there a Minimum level to be instakilled or

Low level players already get a huge advantage. Basically the number of times you can aggro a Akhevan decreases as you level up. A level 1 would basically have to aggro every single one on the way to Athica in order for them to die. I did this so that MOP would keep its scare factor for low levels while decreasing its death factor. Hopefully a newbie will feel real accomplishment and relief after going through it the first time utilizing the level advantage while getting better at it for later.

Prolly that's why they needed a HoT at level *44* and even a better one than Clerics.
(6 ticks instead of 4 on Cleric's version)

You like taking things out of context to support some horribly wrong ascertation. Just because they put in a spell at lvl 44 doesn't mean that is where the problem needed to be addressed. It was simply put in for consistency.

I made very many, valid points in my druid post several months ago in class discussion. How you could refute these, I do not know. But I have extensive playtime on all 3 priest classes.

It didn't work on me when I got it last night. I was levitating, so that may have had something to do with it, but I just kept on running.

I have a 55/138 AAs Cleric and a 51 Druid with 5 empty equipment slots.
Boxxing them with my 55 Pally I kill faster with the Druid, yeah consistency.

You are doing it wrong. Not only are you doing it wrong you are apparently not understanding of the context that people are speaking about. Maybe it would help if someone told you the cleric dps argument is applicable only past 65, although I guess if you had a twink you could rock out on the lesser hammers.

With Zero tomes, zero damage increment, zero haste and only using ancient hammer, divine rage and yaulp 6 puts out around 120 dps, He has terrible charisma/dex too. He does not even have divine rage 3/3 nor the spell crit aa's.

I do not know why you keep posting on this subject when its really apparent that your game experience is very limited or why dumb people (see:thade) keep arguing with you.

hey let's get this thread back on topic... druids?? clerics?? not really applicable here

A double nuke in the mop was like winning the lottery in reverse. I've literally forgotten I was online and been afk in the mop for hours and come back alive.

Luckier than me apparently. I have trouble making it to Athica without dying in the old setup.

I like the fact you can see the threats now, at least it gives you a chance to avoid getting hit...sort of. I also got hit with a + movement spell a couple times that let me zoom all the way to the portal I was heading to in about 1/8th of the normal run time.

MoP & Wiki

I quit for a couple of months to take a break, come back and die in the MoP to something I never saw after getting flung in to the water. Then have to create an account on the Wiki to look something up. It took any desire to come back completely away.

The MoP was already enough of a PITA. And login to the Wiki? Wtf?

I'm sure you won't fold without my $11 a month, but these changes are just dumb.

Having to have an attention span that is longer than a rat's killed the game for me too.

Wow. Ok, there were some major issues with the webserver last night, and they seemed to be coming from the wiki. The original prognosis was that the wiki would be taken down completely for a few days. I was delighted when I woke up this morning and found that this solution seemed to be working instead. Temporary or permanent I can't say for sure, but as someone who only uses the wiki while logged in, I'm boggling at the very few negative reactions I've seen. Especially since its purring like a kitten compared to the sloshly-slow it has been.

But on topic, obviously this is a new MoP was a development meant make the MoP less about random effects - the MoP could always kill you but now you can avoid it. I'm sorry your return was disappointing though, Kloodge.
