There are things with 4 arms do not run into them. Random poison/dispel/disease/nuke have been disabled. NEW MOP RULES.

Remember how the wizards outside the portals would tell you it's dangerous? Now it is.

It's dangerous like a chef's knife. Use it with care and respect and you won't get blood everywhere.

By far the weakest aspect of this game is the time and effort it takes to get from one point to another.

This has made matters far worse.
If I expressed my true feelings about this change I would probably get a ban.

What is the point?

I just visited our new mansion of portals: all red (level 19), all ready to attack. Come on, guys. Is this thing really neccessary??? So far I found MoP one of the greatest avoidance of mistakes, that have been made on Live. Traps made sure people dont hang out there all day long. Also nothing but portals kept cities populated. But this now - no, I really don't like it. I would appreciate something that you can only use a portal on MoP, when you have entered from destinations side already. MoP is a place of transportation, not of fight. Btw, only melees have a chance of fighting there at all. That zone is silenced, which I like, so people will be busy to reach their portals.

Actual version of MoP seems the biggest flaw of the game to me. Please let those creature disappear in the void from which they occured.

Were you actually killed while traveling through the MoP?? I used it several times since the change, and have yet to be attacked. It doesn't seem that much more dangerous to me, just now you can see the danger walking around.

I can't believe all the qq over this. Even when they had the dispell, Nuke, and knockback with the 4 armed dudes.. it really wasn't hard or a big deal to get through, in fact it is still ridiculously easy.

The MoP should be dangerous, previously it was getting too close to the Plane of Knowledge garbage that ruined that other game. Insta teleports to every zone in the game makes the world disjointed and breaks immersion. Mansion of portals is a good compromise for those that want the convenience of easy travel and those of us who would rather not see any portal zone at all, and have to rely on port classes and gate necks for quick travel.

If it was up to me, the game would have only boats, wizard druid ports, and gate necks. That way when someone finally did get a gate neck they would appreciate it that much more.

Do they actually attack you? I was under the impression that if you agroed them you basically got the same effects you would've gotten before. Fortunately it's easy to dodge them, so I haven't seen what they do in the 4 or 5 trips since the change. It's odd that people prefer to get nuked or dotted or dispelled or whatever completely at random completely out of their control as opposed to just running around some slow-moving mobs and having pretty much total control over whether or not you get these effects. Now if these "mobs" can agro you right at zone-in I would see some issues with that, but otherwise the only problem I see with the changes is the extra time you have to spend being careful.

I second that.

Moving my duo(which I am expected to bring cause my guild is rather small) to Storm's eye or
Stormkeep where we currently progress takes about 20 minutes. Now it takes even longer.
This change (along with the change to Drood heals) took me over the border where the game
is no longer fun for me,I didnt play at all since the MoP patch.
If anything they should have removed the random debuff crap from the MoP and not make it
even more annoying/time consuming.
Also I wonder if there werent more burning issues with the game where the time and effort
put into the MoP changes could have go to.

Now that I know how the mobs work in the MoP, it doesn't take more than an extra 30-60 seconds to get to where I want to go. Actually, I bet that on average I can get to my desired locations FASTER than before because there is no longer a random snare debuff. Oh and was it mentioned that there's no more random dispelling either? Yeah that means no extra time taken for rebuffing.

If it was actually taking you 20 minutes on average to get to SE and SK before, once you learn and master the new MoP your average time might actually be under 20.

I don't really see what the issue is. They don't attack on site and in exchange the bad effects of using mop (dispel my fresh buffs / double nuke / snare) removed. To me it's well worth the change. Sure I've seen a lot of corpse's in MoP since the change, but realistically there isn't much difference between that and the random chance for a double nuke to occur there because it happened a lot more than was necessary in the past. I for one am glad to be rid of that hassle.

QQ RAGE OMG FML sidways naw, but seriously this change is popular like dark rot and MJ with little boys and no it's not difficult it's still balls though.

A double nuke in the mop was like winning the lottery in reverse. I've literally forgotten I was online and been afk in the mop for hours and come back alive.

Just highlighting this part. What about the druid heal change do you not like? I amdit, I was against it at first, but it does give them a certain niche now. It also makes them quite viable for some 6-man content they were excluded from before. I am tired of encounters that require a cookie-cutter group (on tier) to accomplish it. Variety and options are good things.

And really, the mop is no harder than before. Pay attention and avoid the mobs, you are good to go. The aggro range on them is crazy small, I literally passed one in a doorway, and did not get aggro. You have to be pretty bad, or not paying attention at all, to die to those things.

I can now buff and pass through, without worrying about losing non-sb buffs, that is plat in the hand my friend.
