fishing

I was pretty hopeful about Wyvernfang, but it doesn't sound like that's the solution.

I wish there was at least a message in the game for when you can't raise fishing at a spot anymore.

Anyone have any other ideas?
 
well, I am up to 180 fishing. Caught a 35 lb shark for 9 plat per is my biggest catch thus far
 
Speaking from a player perspective - since I had nothing to do with the fishing revamp, so I'm not sure - you may need to go to the more dangerous areas of the game to reach 250. I wouldn't exactly call wyvernfang a risky place to fish, unless the othmir hate you.

Um, could you please tell us how you even got that high, or are you purposefully not telling us but just bragging how high skill you're getting?

I mean come on, you didn't know where to go at 125, I posted that you could get to 136 at SoS, help me out.

Do you frequent IRC? He has mentioned some of the zones he has fished in to get to his current skill level! Also, the Wiki mentions where to fish all the way up to 250, currently. :)

Nope, I don't read IRC at all, and I looked in the Wiki and I see that SoS says you can raise it to 136+, does that mean it's been confirmed that you can get above that at SoS?

I would really like for someone to just say there here or anywhere else, I don't really see why everyone has to give me the runaround and tell me to go on IRC or look in the Wiki, when we're having a conversation right here that someone in the future could look at without going on IRC or looking in the wiki.

I agree that maybe a reply would be nice (I would if MY skill was over 80ish *smile*), however, IRC and the wiki are resources I would not disregard or take for granted. How does one exactly catch fish scales? :D

In all the years I've been fishing, never had I once caught just fish scales... Unless of course the fish is actually called Fish Scales. *snicker*

This update to Wiki wasnt there when you first asked about info but this is what you need

Nurse Shark (145?-185+)
Red Snapper (?-103+)
Small Seahorse (190+)
Swordfin Tuna (110?-?)
Yellow Angelfish (110?-?)

Looking at the zones/fish list many of these fish appear in Sea of Swords. I know, I've been there for an hour and a half without a skillup past 136 but people are saying thats where to do.
 
Oh, also, Hassan did tell me some zones in IRC but I think he was lying since I've fished at sea of swords for about 5 hours and haven't gotten a skillup at 136. When asked how long it took him, I got "I forget."

So, I'm 99% sure at this point I need to go to Rivervale, I will post with confirmation if that's where one needs to go.

To explain: Someone named Klya was in SoS saying they had a 180 fishing and wouldn't give out info but gave me a retarded riddle as to where to go, something about at nightfall and a glowing lake and being among those most consider meek, and finding pleasure and pain from the light or something.

I'm pretty sure he's talking about Rivervale, now it's just a matter of getting there as level 11 and level 28.
 
u can also do oasis for baby crocodile or do the old rathe ocean thingy to get to 145 or so until sea of swords is good for tuna and some other fish

To be honest I don't really see why this is something of clues and riddles, as soon as I figure this out I'm going to update the wiki and post here immediately. The knowledge hoarding and elitism on this server is ridiculous in some cases. I'm going to try out what hassan suggests and if it works I'll be extremely grateful and help out in any way I can once I get to 200.

I'm not sure I know what the old rathe ocean thingy is though..? If you mean starfall, I tried that, didn't get a gain in 30 mins so I dunno.

Edit: Woo I just gained to 137 at Oasis, if I can get to the 140s, I'll love you forever hassan.
 
I am scrwed, you need to get into the level resctrited zones (I.E. level 40 required) to get in. the guy i leveled fishing on is level 9 ;(
