So how does one do this? Escape, that is... :what: :what: :what:
Pardon me for being critical of our wonderful devs...but this is stupidest thing I've ever seen in this game. Who thought it was appropriate to give players, including total noobs (in at least some cases, an SK will be a brand new player's very first char here), an item that they will undoubtedly examine and then undoubtedly try out and click?? This traps the unsuspecting player in PoN with absolutely no obvious, or even slightly obscure, method of returning to Dalaya.
My wife has a mid-30s SK and she clicked up there to explore a bit, say Hi to her god, the usual stuff. She is now trapped there. While there she ran into another unfortunate player who had also stepped into this disguised death trap. He was in the mid-40s, in a large and prominent guild...and had been trapped there for over an hour seeking the exit. He eventually ended up BEGGING my wife to duel (for her, the first time EVER) and kill him so he could return to his bind point without incurring an XP debt.
Now I know Marlow is evil and all, but what kind of god provides a ready way for worshippers to enter his realm, but seems to require them to literally kill themselves and hamper their future development (the XP debt) in order to go back into the "real" world and spread His word???
I started a new SK expressly so I could go to PoN and try to find the exit myself...maybe my wife and the other fellow simply missed something. I've been there, running around blindly since there is no map implemented yet, for nearly an hour now. The only things I have discovered are confusion and disappointment. I have travelled most, if not all (I have no way of knowing for sure since there is no map to trace my movements on within this MAZE!) of the "a swirling portal"s. None of them appear to lead to Dalaya, nor do the areas accessed appear themselves to have any exits leading there.
I've talked with various NPC's in PoN, only one had anything that seemed to address this issue. At some point I found and spoke with some poor elf or half-elf NPC who is trapped in "The Realm" area of PoN. He says all I have to do is "Wake up!" Ya, ummm, so how EXACTLY does one do that??? Camping (logging out) isn't it, I logged in right back to the same place. /wake is not recognized, nor is /cm wake. Wife tried FD, that's not it. The one, single, and only reliable way to escape PoN seems to be dieing.
I think I've been pretty thorough and really have tried to find the answer to this dilemma before posting here. I apologise if the tone of this message is somewhat aggressive but I am really frustrated by this. In my opinion, making the exit this hard to find will only frustrate players and encourage them not to play SK's..or at the very least if they do play one, to never EVER travel to their own gods' plane.
I kinda hope I'm missing something, even though that would pretty much make me feel stupid. If that's the case, please illuminate me. If it's not, please revamp this a little and provide some more direct and/or obvious way to return to the playable zones of Dalaya proper.
