Escape from PoN

Had one ready to go in case you said that. It's in-game now; in the worshippers' hedge, though, not the zone-in point.

While I'm obviously risking further flaming here...why didn't you just give me that answer initially instead of being flippant?

Was it not in-game at that point? I would have happily accepted "We're aware of that and are working on it".

Instead you ridicule me and give an answer which clearly wasn't helpful. Not very supportive support imo.

It was mentioned that this was posted in the "wrong forum". Isn't this SoD Discussion? I'm discsussing SoD. It wasn't a suggestion, I suppose it could be

considered a request for assistance and maybe it does more properly fit in the Suggestions and Request forum. I would submit that it is not so far

out of line here to be considered downright "wrong".

As to it being a "wall of angry gibberish" and to the raft of other flamers. I'm truly sorry you found the formatting so difficult to read. I trust this post is

better. I wanted to include all possible information so as to avoid people telling me to try things I'd already tried and to demonstrate that I wasn't simply

running to the forums because I was too lazy to find my own answer. I not a regular forum poster and I guess I'm not "up" on proper forum formatting.

Is that really reason enough to crucify me like that? I guess it is...

Addressing the "angry" part, perhaps some of you noticed near the bottom of my initial post where I apologised if I had come off too aggressively. I got

nothing but flames for the first several posts and when I flamed back a bit, it was infermo-city. I thought I had asked a relatively simple question in a

relatively inoffensive manner. Clearly I was mistaken and I apologise further to anyone who was offended by what they percieved as unwarranted anger

on my part.

My sincere and everlasting gratitude to Wiz for the only post in this entire thread that clearly and succinctly addressed my original problem and offered a

useful solution!!

that almost had better for

matting, but the way you did it

i had some trouble decip

hering where sentences beg

an and ended, becuase it wa

s kind of obscure.

Stop trolling this thread. Yeah, his post was excessively long and didn't have great formatting (and jeez, you need to get less agitated about things, escapist) but he had a good point that was addressed. The way people jumped all over this thread is shitty as hell.

it was more boredom than anything, thats all. Just glad I don't have a working deity amulet so I'm stuck.

Because 1) Wiz is the only one who can make decisions like that and 2) if you want a polite response, make a polite post.

Well, as long as we're on this topic, do remember that Paladin's can't gate either, so Althuna needs an exit, and not every frog can gate, so Malath needs an exit, whoever it is that's working on those. imo. who cares about the ones you have to choose to swear to, it's your own problem completely, then.

the thing that i've liked about SoD, and what kept me hooked so well, was the real consequences. it was a pain sometimes, because its kinda unforgiving, but thats what made it epic, instead of care-bear-boring like WoW.

You kill a scowling NPC in a city, and your faction with the entire city gets smacked. You swear to a diety, you can't just poof it away. You kill a dragon, and you have to kill 50 giants to make the dragon's brethren forgive you. Heck, you get too many things mad at you, and you have a few minutes to sit on your bum and think about what you did wrong.

SoD has never made any appologies for being unforgiving.

Whining about getting XP debt is kinda lame, which i think was the well represented by the responding posters. (you're not losing XP, you're not de-leveling, and i bet you learn something, and it makes the gate necks actually worth something)

He does have a point, though. All new shadowknights get these amulets and are obviously going to click them. Let's add a way out for marlow worshippers at the zone in point.
so wait, shadowknights now have a free gate they can use whenever they want?

That is kinda lame...

I thought the level requirement would be in place, and besides, why would a god allow a newly sworn low level to come chill out in their plane?

It's a free gate to erudnint that makes you zone twice, if that helps. It doesn't take you to bind.

spiffy. i mean, thats not a "gate" but wow... i'd be thrilled to have a neck (zone 2x, understood) to the continent of erud, and always wanted one. It'd be pretty awesome if there was a quest that non-SKs could do which would make getting to erud easier (non-boat, non-wiz/druid port)

Eh isn't MoP kinda already easy enough? :psyduck:

Note that all planes should have a zoneout, so technically any diety neck is a gate neck to someplace.
