Bard Runic 2!

I would like to add some more interesting/powerful things but ones which require a sacrifice in the form of a dedicated true instrument. Stuff that is more powerful than normal bard stuff but which wears off instantly if you take your instrument off, and that are spread across the instruments so you can only choose one "specialization" at any given time.

I am 100% on board with this and if you want to change runic 2 or anything else in the future to reflect something like this, it would be a very cool and enjoyable.

While I don't have the greatest head for unique balanced ideas, I would certainly help to test if needed. Also Solo's ideas are pretty interesting.

with pofrost guitar in, new runic2 does around 600dmg... relic around 900dmg without drum

i actually used and liked the runic2 in its old form, it just needed bigger numbers.

Yeah I would think that the runic2 should do more dmg than relic chant.

Have you considered the bonus damage from your raid's melee DPS from the negative AC?

I am fine with changing it but everyone should be aware we are not interested in increasing the power of bards to any real extent. A niche spell will be better received than an overall power increase spell.
