2 Box Combo ... again - Sorry

Hi guys,

Yet another 2 box combo question. I'm sorry :tinfoil: Anyway, I've searched the forums and have come up with a bunch of good combos. However, I'm looking to fulfill a few requirements with my 2box setup.

1) I want one of the characters to be highly sought for groups at higher levels.

2) I want to be able to duo a lot of content if I need to and not beable to duo something just because I picked the wrong classes.

I currently have a 22 dru and 21 chanter, however it is a really fragile combo it seems.

Thanks a lot

Monk/shaman is the best duoing combo in the game. Monks can split encounters not doable by any other duos (due to adds), and shamans have basically infinite mana with canni. In the end game, you'll be able to get one of your characters in any group that needs either a healer or a dps class =).

Clrr/War....every one needs that...but not too fun to box. Mnk/anything works really...any healer+tank will get you a group tho

warriors are almost 100% useless unless you are one of the top 6 or so on the server. make a monk or sk or ranger or paladin

downside to shadowknights is that while they tank better than monks, and split all right, they don't do near the DPS of monks. So it takes a lot longer to kill things there. Warriors don't have the dps of monks or the splitting abilitites of shamans so no, they're not great for duoing.

Paladins are GREAT dps, especially if you're fighting undead, and Rangers are great dps all around.

Shamans of course are great not only for infinite mana but also loads of great buffs, and slows.

True for getting into a guild. But for all around grouping, i think i would settle for #7 on server

I'm having a blast with my Necro/Druid combo.

I can find groups easy enough with my druid, and can also solo either one if I'm not feeling a boxed session. And when I do box them I can do almost anything I want.

I'm telling you guys Necro+Druid is the best combo on the server for duoing.

go duo ancient deepfiend or farm FR tarhyl mobs with that combo and we'll talk

Okay okay, It's not the best if you plan to prioritize SoD over everything in your life.

I'm not super higher level only in my lower 40's atm, but thus far I really like cleric/paladin they work great together they can both heal, res, stun, root, wear plate, and nuke undead. On top of that the paladin can tank and taunt plus lands crippling blows to undead for himself and the rest of his group. Plus the cleric has some major hit point and ac buffs and single target damage shield and reverse damage shield. It's a solid combination that gets better as it goes.

thats actually one of the worst combos available. You have too many overlapping spells and not enough DPS. It may be fun but I wouldnt recommend it to anyone.

I'd agree... pally/clr is powerful, but you'll get more use out of pal/shm or pal/dru, both of which are extremely effective.

Warriors are definitely in low demand. Most guilds really only need 1.. maybe 2.

Monks are almost always welcome in any group.

If I were to chose a top geared duo to go to a random undead zone for worthwile XP Pally/cleric would probably be one of the last choices - right before sk/cleric and war/cleric. Even against undeads you will sooner or later see a serious lack in DPS - even at the very top end where characters tend to be overgeared heavily enough to do things they usually shouldn't be able to do - casters tanking planar trash, clerics tanking higher end XP trash and so on.

But I admit that it's probably fun to play, in quite some demand for a group and a solid choice RP-wise if you're into it.

Another Duo that could prove rather effient would be a Monk/Druid. Similar to the Monk/Shm, but giving up shm debuff for better heals and DS. Travel abillites (TPs) would make this duo friendly for getting from zone to zone faster.

monk/dru would not be bad but..shm plays to a monks abilities much better.

DS is nice but a monk should be trying to not get hit at all, so the slows/debuffs and buffs a shaman can provide far outweigh the diff in str8 healing power and DS.

I have duo'd both healers w/ monk and shm wins hands down in most situations.

I've been toying with a Druid/SK combo in my head, but I'm worried that I would rely too much on the druid for dps and run out of heals
