Of course, if you look at it from the other person's perspective, it's not quite that simple. You've gotta love getting anywhere from two to ten buff requests every time you die, gate, or zone to south newport within 5 minutes (usually at least one within 15 seconds). The buff beggars have gotten so bad that my guild often moves to a variety of out-of-sight locations in Newport when we're doing a set of buffs. It's not that we don't like the people, it's that sometimes we want to just get buffed and go, rather than trying to teach and re-teach people how to form a second group and link up, etc.

For those of us who dual client, oftentimes we're busy with stuff. I may be doing officer stuff or vendor stuff, I may be moving my other character somewhere or watching the other screen, I may be sending tells getting a group set up, or any number of other things. Specifically, it's likely that I'm busy enough that I dont want to respond to half a dozen buff requests from different people, many of whom I've never even seen.

It's also great when you get someone you've never spoken with or seen before schmoozing it up, calling you "bro" and "buddy" while sending a tell asking for permas every 12 seconds while you're AFK or busy doing other things.
 
Can't say I've ever really been begged for buffs to any large degree. They ask, I say no, and then they go away. Some beg and whine but I'd be lying if I said it didn't amuse me.
 
i get tells for buffs and ports so often=/ and 99% of the time no donation. tbh it has really started to annoy me and sux for future tells, but im startin to just say no. guildies for the most part will be the only ones getting ports.

Ya I don't ever ask for donations when I port people and about 90% of the time no one even offers. Most of the people who do offer I tell them no thanks unless I stopped what I was doing to port them. Its not like druids sit around all day just waiting and hope'n for someone to ask for a port . At least offer to donate and for the love of god and every thing holy don 't say "can u port me plz" how damn hard is it to type "If you have time, would you port me to X from Y please."

From now on anyone who ask for a port or buff without a complete sentence or at least a decent attempt at one is getting a no in response from me. :finger:
