You know what really grinds my gears?

Disclaimer: Not trying to be a dick or start drama - simply speaking my mind. Take this post as you will :)

1.) Having to kill the same raid target twice because the server went down and the GM's decide you didn't really kill it the first time.
I agree this sucks, but honestly... this happens to more than one guild, in more ways than one - we just have to realize everyone is human and deal. Ruin had to endure similar treatment when they killed Avatar of Shojar (undisputedly) and got no loot for anything. Legacy has suffered many wipes / had to kill things multiple times / gotten loot poofed / etc due to events not working properly or server issues, not to mention the amount of time involved in each case. Sepulcher of Darkness, Dergelak the Ice Lord, Seductress, Taeshlin, MoTG, etc etc just off the top of my head. Honestly, how much time does it take to kill a mob again? 5, 10 minutes max? I dont know the specifics here, but I feel safe in saying that the GM's try to be fair about things - I've been on PR raids where Wiz/Zodium has come and given loot because the server crashed after the mob died. I've been on PR raids where characters were summoned loot because they went linkdead and the corpse was rotting. Honestly, 99% of these issues cant really be helped, we just have to remind ourselves we're playing a free game with an unpaid staff, and sometimes (not necessarily saying this time was, as I dont know the details) they make unintentional mistakes. We're all human here.

2.) Not having enough time to kill the next target (because of having to kill the first target a second time) and resolving to do it the next day only to find out another guild walks past all the content you just cleared to take your target out.
Again, stuff happens. I'm sure it doesnt take that significant amount of time to kill a target a second time - you rez/rebuff (if needed) and engage - all of which takes a matter of minutes. As for the named stealing - sorry that happens, but it does. I dont think theres a single high-end guild on the server that hasnt taken advantage of the fact that another guild has cleared some trash for them and then left mobs up.

Yeah, shit happens to all guilds. This much will be true forever. I don't think Diolas means for anything to change due to this thread, but he does like to vent every now and again.

The moral here is: "Life sucks, and then you die."

You had to repeat a mob? You would have loved trying Trial 1 with us back in the day then.

I'm also in agreement with Aeran who eloquently expressed what I'd only fill with sarcasm. :)

I'm not looking for consolation, I wasn't even there. I'm just saying it grinds my gears. I didn't create this thread for sympathy or for drama. It's here for the sole purposes of venting. Vent or move on.

It wasnt a matter of rekilling. Hell, we pwned that sucker even harder then the first time we hit him! We lost most time trying to contact a gm and then get to hear we had to do it again anyway.

And ofcourse, we shouldn't have killed it. If it was only to give Venerate more of a challenge. I can only say its our own fault that we gave abom away because we killed this tough ass guardian :p

What grinds my gears...............

Not being able to watch Family Guy because asshole Bush is having a talk with the American people.

Zoning to my bind point only to find I'm KoS in Newport after a patch might just start to grind my gears...

God, what other new euphemisms are you kids going to come up with for it? I was always partial to "makin' the bacon" but hey... whatever, err, turns your clockwork.

Once when I was about 7 I slammed my finger in a car door so badly that the tip burst. I just crumpled up on the pavement and laid there crying for a few minutes. Nobody was around so I had to pick myself up and head back inside. But yeah, you got eScrewed on an iGame. Sorry buddy.

How did you manage to even separate from the door? the two times it has happened to me, I had to ask the person who slammed the door to open it back up.
