If you do it right, you don't have to try hard. The harder you try to beat this fight, the less likely you are adhering to the instructions on defeating this fight.

If memory serves, it went something like
1) Whack it with Horok
2) Wait for lag to clear
3) Profit
(No room for ????)
 
I noticed in the video you guys got a Bane of the Fallen to drop but ended up ?petitioning? and getting Madelin his weapon.
Curious if that is a common problem?

we shoulda got a horok but got a bane instead....
 
Would rather have a Bane than a Horok atm.

I didn't farm 4.3 nearly as much as most fwf but if everyone at the kill with a weapon equips it you should always get whatever weapon people need.
 
afaik common problems are:

someone doesn't have their weapon equipped when they aggro the box

or

someone had a pet out and the box registered the pet's class into the weapon-raffle.
 
ever had it not drop a weapon at all when it should?
had 5 weapons in group and 1 necro without but it didnt drop him a weapon =(
i was only healer in group but ive def seen soulshepard drop since i got mine so assume a bug?
 
Yes you can petition if you get the wrong weapon, and probably if no weapon drops when someone in the group did not have one although I've never seen that happen (character with no weapon didn't get on the chest's hate list maybe?).

I think it just checks the currently equipped inventory slots of everyone who gets on the hate list of the chest mob so have them equip their weapons before you attack the chest mob. Apparently you have a very short time to get everyone on the hate list of the chest mob so just make sure everyone's ready when you're going to hit it -- this is probably why bane dropped instead of the dagger in the video, because Madelin was lagged out. There's also the pet problem if a pet hits the chest mob, which registers the pet's class.
