Where does the Froglok starting city fit into the zone map?

The map was pretty accurate when it was made, but a lot has changed since then. The Lands of Magic, Dark Portalists, and Coaches are no longer in game, and new zones have been added, including Sundered Mountains, which is the only way to Sadri Malath, so yes, the map is outdated, and will be inaccurate until someone decides to edit and repost it

If I knew the game better, I'd edit it myself. Hopefully someone who knows SoD and basic photoshop will have a go at it.
 
I've considered doing it myself, but I can say with some confidence that I don't *think* the map was made with Photoshop. My guess is that the author used some other software. I looked briefly into doing it in Photoshop and it appeared much more difficult than it needed to be. If the original author is still around, and has his masters, it would be 100% easier for him to edit the master that he has than for me to start one from scratch.

Although, I must admit, I would like to do it just to make a map that's more useful from a 'levling' POV - just because there's 4 mobs in the entire zone that con DB to a 40's group doesn't mean the zone should be considered a XX-40s zone, imo.
 
Since no one answered:

You can get to sadri by taking the boat at docks of Oasis. It will plop you in sundered mountains. These connect with Sadri. Also, the teleporters from underhill, newport, and oggok will get you there.
 
I took the time and made a new zone connection map - it has the new zone changes incorporated. Please let me know if there are any corrections that need to be made...

Good job. Tower of Tarhyl doesn't exist atm. Lesser Faydark also leads to Sepulcher of Darkness, a raid zone. (lvl 65)
 
good job.

a few small things are not correct, though:

1) The arena was removed from the game.
2) Plane of Torment is now called Towers of Agony.
3) 2 other zones (both for raids at lvl 65) connect to Lesser Faydark: Sepulcher of Darkness and Caverns of Darkness
4) Temple of Eternal Flame does not exist.
5) Red Sun Mines connects to Fire Grottos and the other way round.
6) Cyrtho Malath should be purple and red (you will want a party of lvl 65 characters, especially for basement).
7) The boats from Newport can take you to Erudin and Freeport. The boats from Freeport can take you to Goblin Skull Mountains and Newport. The boats from Erudin will only take you to Newport. The boats from Goblin Skull Mountains will only take you to Freeport.
8) Ruins of Nagthilian (A), (B) and (C) connect to Darkwoods (all unpopulated).
9) Northern Felwithe connects to Southern Felwithe. Southern Felwithe connects to Greater Faydark. (both unpopulated)
10) King's Keep is unpopulated, as well.
11) East Freeport only connects to West Freeport. North Freeport only connects to West Freeport. West Freeport connects to East & North Freeport.
12) You can zone from Icewell Keep to Great Divide, but not the other way round.
13) You cannot zone from Tower of Tarhyl to First Ruins (only the other way round).
14) You cannot zone from Towers of Agony (= former Plane of Torment) to Dreadfang Spire (only the other way round).
15) You cannot zone from Catacombs of Elthannar to Eldenal's Mansion (only the other way round).
16) You cannot zone from Prison of Admyrrza to Everfrost Peaks (only the other way round).
17) Northern Badlands connect to Southern Badlands and the other way round.
18) What Rabb said about Tower of Tarhyl is true, the zone doesn't exist at the moment. The staff said, that it was only removed for a revamp. i can only assume, but i think they'll add the zone again, once the revamp is done. Maybe a staff member can confirm that?

Wish I had your layered masters so I could edit it myself :/ But that would be cheating. Great job, btw. I sure didn't have the patience for it. /cheer Sstecik
 
Think it would be possible to make a different color for 30s and 40s? That was the one fault I had with the last map, and well I don't see why that would be carried over to a new one.
