Are my 2 characters. As you can see my characters gear isnt very great I loot and sell as much as I can carry (which isnt much) I have about 1k plat. atm. I'm just curious what I should kill for plat or loot drops to help gear my characters. Items I see forsale around 200-300 plat seem to be very low lvl stuff. Any ideas would be great, as I sure would love to get rid of all the no stat gear I have and fill the empty slots.

Check into tradeskilled armor, stuff like cured silk will not be 2-300pp per slot, and it will be an upgrade to your leather.

Where your gear stands now, you could get upgrades from just about anything. Hop into an xp zone where everything is green and use track on your druid and find some names. If you can't wear the gear that drops, you can sell it and net a little more plat to buy some upgrades. Mielech B has a few names in it that you'd need a group to take on but you could get some loots from there as well.

Also the lower quality augs are pretty cheap, you might consider buying some +stat or + mana augs and throwing them into the gear you have now.

Or you could consider taking up a tradeskill yourself. With some patience you can make some nice stuff with tailoring. But wow..cloth this late in the game? Not even silk (let alone cured silk). What have you been spending your money on?

wow....

Umm.... Kill specters and Hill gaints should be easy kills for you and they drop good coinage. Tmaps are anohter excellent source of gear for you. Specialy since basicly anything that drops will be a upgrade.

I might subjest going to a low level dungeon and farming names. Oddly Many of the dungeons that are green to you will provide very nice upgrades for your toons.

One Question... How?? How did you mange to only have Cloth at 55. I am just wondering... did you do a lot of grouping and never get any of the cash?

I'm really curious as well.

Also you can get some pretty good equipment from quests. Not the best time/equipment ratio probably, but some very good equipment is questable, and personally I find it to be a very entertaining way to equip up.

Probably the best option here

Yep, It's free. It gets you exp. It upgrades every slot.

I went from wearing full greysteel(wyvernfang quest armor) to full stormkeep armor in my mid 50s, very worthwile time:loot ratio

killing cave wyrms in GD for giant faction will get you several thousand plat and will help you gain faction for the upper level quest armor.

Adventuring Band maybe?

Id bet double exp week too.

Dunno how well youre killing stuff but maybe the basement guys in Yaralith that drop blood, its 3pp to vendor or players buy, good coin and gems there too. Also might be able to do ent of Lab, chance at ice kobold fur 100pp to players for each.

Actually scratch that, I'mma help brainstorm for quests that you can do to help fill up your gear with a minimum of platinum.

- Giant faction armor (or Dragon faction armor) Get the armor pieces from Rat City and the faction by killing either GD cave wyrms or SK giants
- Newport Rings 1-5 on both characters
- Starfall quest rewards for both characters (2x items each)
- Thurgadin quest rewards for both characters (2x items each)
- Main quest will net you lots of exp and 2x quest augments per character
- Vingrin's Wand of Animation quest for the enchanter

(Feel free to add to the list guys)

The Vigrin Wand of Animation can be used by both. I would suggest doing the quest twice, as those items will definitely last a while.
Also, at 57, you could easily duo in Siren's Grotto: I was duoing the Wyvernfang zone mobs with a decently geared war+shaman combo at 48. Each Tangleweed sells for 30pp to several tradeskillers.

screw the book of spectral monsters, you're an chanter. You do not need any companion foci. So my suggestion is to get a radiant crystal orb. Possibly for both if you can find a better druid 1h primary. For stats on it check imeriaz's secondary. http://www.shardsofdalaya.com/fomelo/fomelo.php?char=imeriaz

Go to thurgb (ie icewell keep) to start the quest. You must have fairly high faction with the dwarves. I think at least indifferent, but could be warmly. Anyways snag some harthuk horns and turn them into the sk guild guy there. Then go outside the keep, talk to the guys. You'll need to be able to take out ew orcs for the correct quest. Turn your reward back in after you get the tank shield for the radiant crystal orb.

I just got done with the starfall quests and I'm nearing done on the Thurgadin quests. I just worried about being able to finish a few of these quests as they envolve messing with caster mobs....now those mess me up big time ^_^ aka the Mielech B/Temple of Yaralith, My resists are terrible

Actually I just play and do my own thing 2 boxing killing animals that dont drop much usually it seems. As my first 2 characters both casters Enchanter/Druid the spell costs put a slight dent in the cashflow. While I do have some money saved up don't get me wrong but shelling out 400p for some of the better recommended lvl 35 gear just doesnt seem worth it.

should only cost around 350 for some plat bsaph earrings. They are not expensive at all and you will wear them for quite a long time. Around torment dhk tier I was still wearing one of mine on aisling. The original one I got for like 60pp off a vendor, which was on aisling from lvl1 on. So yeah shelf life of those is pretty hot.

Also if you have not done so. DO the main quest. You'll get an aug better than pretty much anything you have. Then when you pick a faction, you get another aug, also better than anything you have atm. So win city there.

Hrmmm as for other things lemme think here. For caster shoes you can go to osm. There's a lizard guy in the tower who will drop shoes better than what you currently possess, name of kil'yal. Excellent choice for shoes back when b/c they were pretty scarcely itemized with inexpensive things. It was like those, nodrop, or muck clogs which would run you 2kish. Now there's pernicuous stompers too, but those are costly, and some other slippers that aren't too expensive forget the name though.

Also I cannot stress this enough. GET SIMPLE MAPS. Do them while you're still 50 for your caster. Many of them. They will provide you with a plethora of castergear. Things like the di IV shard with 10 wis, cha and int on it, the dwarf ring (if you're lucky and no tanks/melees want it/need it), a robe iirc (isnt that where the blood red recov robe comes from?) and a couple other assorted pieces. After you bypass the 60 hump, do very easy and up maps.

Agreeing with this! Though they can cost 100-200 pp each, they're super fun to do, drop some nice items, and give good exp as well. While you're at it, you can get Wyvernfang armor quest pieces from them quite commonly, which isn't great but it's better than a lot of the cloth you're wearing. (Though you might think seriously about putting all exp to AAs and helping the Trakeoth Raids if they'll have you. (Max level 57)

Yeah I think the Simple 50-59 one has a Recovery III robe.

About those Thug quest with your gear and level you will need help I think on them. Also Siren Grotto is NOT a good place to level at that range unlessyou have a group. Those mobs have a crap load of hps for there level and offer ZERO cash (save for tangle weed drops). Rats in DN are definitely a good choice.. just watch out for the scryers and seers fearing.

50ish you can solo in the 1st part of fg sans group np. If you're careful you can get the castley part too. If you can do those it might seem like a bad idea. But if you're scrown its actually an amazofantastic idea.
