Weapons and Magic Master

Ok this is a cool idea I came up with last night at 3AM :D .
Baisicly this is based off of skill. There a few holes that I need help filling.

Here we go:
Slashing Mastery-This is 1 hand Slash and 2 hand slash. When both are maxed you gain an innate 10% to each
Blunt Object Master - Same as above but for blunts.
Here are the holes - Hand to Hand, and Piercing dont have 2 handed counterparts and I find it unfair to just add 10 % for maxing one skill

Now on top of that each class will be able to add another % to skills by maxing them all:
Warriors-masters of melle, 20% for maxing piercing, slashing, blunt in all fields
Monks - 15 % for maxing Blunt, Hand to hand
Rogues - 15 % for maxing Percing, Slashing, (not sure what else rogues CAN use)
Beastlord - 10 % for maxing Blunt, hand to hand
Ranger - 10 % for maxing slashing, blunt
Pally - 10% for maxing slashing, (Blunt?)
SK - 10 % for maxing Slashing, Blunt

Essentially wa warrior can get a max of 30% to combat skills, monks 25%, etc etc.
To wrap up on Melees, I am no exactly sure what each of them uses or can use but essentially each class need to max almost all of thier combat skills to get Weapon Master for the class. (It would be dumb for wars to max H2H, etc)

Caster:
This was harder for me.
Baisicly I know it is harder for caster to max multiple abilities and takes a lot longer than melees, but here is what I got.

Max Casting ability and it Specialize Counterpart - 15 % in that ability

Now class wise:
Wizzard - 15% for maxing all casting abilitites
Enchanter/Mage/Necro - 10% for all casting abilities
Cleric/Druid/Shaman - 5% for all casting abilities

Ok on a final note I hope I hit all the classes and I am sorry for spelling and grammar, I am awful. Please feel free to fill in the holes that I left ot just throw your opinions at the whole idea. I am just throwing this out there to add another suggestion :D

On a more serious note. Thanks melwin and the numbers need some major tweeking. 30 percent is just crazy I realized.

Ouch I feel burned ;(. If you don't like the ideas thats fine but don't be mean about it. That whole sarcasim police thing is just unecessary and only makes me never want to post my ideas again. Fine maybe it is a bad idea but making people feel bad about posting only stops new ideas that could be great from coming out. Thank you all for squelching new ideas. :finger:
 
This thread is a goddamn trainwreck. Seriously, the idea wasn't anything like "I WANT A 50% DPS INCREASE FOR EATING FISH" or anything, sarcasm wasn't warranted.
 
I misread your suggestion really, I thought you meant 15% DPS increase and not 15% skill increase which made me categorize it under "Terrible ideas from extremely retarded forum posters" that we get too often. So, I'm sorry. Your idea is actually not terrible at all.
 
i didn't say it was horrible, it was jsut that the numbers were a little.. un even.. i mean come now you did say they needed tweaking, but in your ercommendation, with a skill bonus, knights get hosed, and make them clsoer to less wrothless tehn even before.


unless i'm jsut reading it as i ma now.. that if you max the ones you listed they get bonuses.. which still isn't that bad for warriors because they get awesome wepaons in all catagories.. short of.. h2h
 
paladins and rangers also get piercing, you should include that (but exclude hand-to-hand, as they also get that)
 
I really think the idea is great, and as he asked for it to be a % on skill not DPS makes it even better, but then I don't know how much benefit a lets say 10% to 1hb would do. But the idea in itself I think was actually really good, and don't take any notise to Melwin, he's born that way, it isn't his fault :D oh well, I enjoyed reading the idea no matter if it's going to be implemented or not, Wiz and the other developers might have gained an idea from your idea but then, we might never notise if that happends either so :p well... I should stop ranting now.
 
Nice idea, i like the whole idea of mastery and such. It goes great for those who like to take the time to do it(raise skills) nice idea.
