Warrior Tome idea.

IF that is the case it would seem this is not as powerful as the OP seems to think Ogres are. I also feel a tome that simply added to initial stamina would not be very impressive.

Non Ogre Warrior with Spirit-Harvest and Opus of Melee Discipline I, cant WW right at the start of combat.
An Ogre Warrior with Spirit-Harvest and Opus of Melee Discipline I, can WW right at the start of combat.

I don't know, I think its pretty huge.
There are also other abilities such a "NOW" and such, that the Ogre just have online, right away.

But I guess everything is relative, I find it pretty relevant to have options from time = 0, and not time = x.

The only warrior race benefits changed from the other classes is ogres. The only two books that act differently for warriors has also been covered.

(and yes I agree that being able to ww in engage would have been nice. )

This basically just reminds me of the WoW rogue talent called Vigor(?) that increased yout energy pool by 10. It was really only useful when paired with the T1(?) (Perhaps it was T2 it has been years...) that gave you an additional 10. With the 120 energy you have a much higher chance of killing someone in pvp without them even moving. This 20 extra energy was, however, almost worthless since it was only 20 more energy given at the very start of the fight no matter the duration. The longer the fight the worse the talent was.

I can see how getting to WW right out of the gate is beneficial. It just doesn't seem super amazing to me. Also, it seems very situational.

I would much rather see a warrior class tome that helped the warrior throughout a fight rather than just help them at the very start in some case's that are rarely in a raid environment.

Agreed, my changed propossal does that. If the cost of the Styles is lowered by 5% each tome rank, the Warrior will be able to do both his defensive, as well as his offensive, much more often, like perhaps even getting close to using /s 9 and /s 6 when ever up, and do driving strike and "on your feet" regularly, to increase aggro / dps-output + reduce damage off PS/WW's/Mezz-breaks ect...
Or what ever the Warrior likes to do the most, the point is, that with cheaper styles, the Warrior would be able to do more of them, obv :)

The "starting stamina" part, is perhaps situational, so then why not just add it, make the Tome'd out Warrior better, even situational (and even not being an Ogre).

Also this whole rich text editor can truly piss me off sometimes. Is there a way to turn it off in options?

If you click that button on the far right of the editor that looks like a page with a Y in front of it, or maybe its a wrench or something, it goes to BB Code editor, which I think is what the old forums had? Or maybe not. I don't really understand these things.

On a related note, how the hell do you quote a post?

Oh and as for warrior tomes, personally I think it should probably increase their aggro or ae aggro or something. They are miles behind paladins and shadowknights. I guess using less stamina per stance would help give them a little extra aggro or at least maybe bonus utility.

"Reply" button bottom right of each post.

Just throwing this out there for a warrior tome: Something that enhances their utility. /s 7, 11, 13, 15 are already pretty useful in the right situation. If the potency was increased via a tome, they could be comparable to knights in terms of utility.

I don't think utility is really the issue. They are already te highest dps tank combined with the best ability to actually tank mobs. They have resilience and shielding abilities. Gives what some of the stances can do when used properly they are a very solid class. I notice very minimal problems with aggro and ae aggro when played well. I do like kedrins idea of dual wielding shields or something that is fairly useful and not very gimmicky.

Dual wielding shields sounds really stupid to me, but using one shield with two hands seems like it would achieve the same effect in a somewhat more realistic manner. The 2h shield dev is probably on vacation though.

What I see:

Warriors are the best raid tank as far as taking damage. They do lack a bit in initial aggro/hate.

If foe lock could scale to produce more hate over the progression of the warrior that would be a sweet fix.

Warriors lack a bit in six man's over knights at higher tier from the lack of self healing. Pallies and Sks both can heal themselves a great deal. This can lead to dropping a secondly healer and adding more dps to the group.

Basically warriors should be the best tank dps and perhaps do even more then they do now.

I think having two shields equipped would be stupid mainly due to the graphics in the game. Every shield is made to be on the left arm of the PC models so the shield in the main hand would look goofy.

I do like the idea of being able to use a two hander and also use a shield in offhand however.

Didn't want to start new topic for this and this might be stupid idea.

What if this 3rd war tome adds like 1% base AC / tome? Or like 25AC/tome.

I don't play war so I have no idea what would be shit upgrade to AC or what would be too OP but this was just a suggestion where ppl can throw their own ideas based to this.
