My Fellow Dalayans!
Voer Lightfury
I seek your help on a matter that effects us all. I have recently been banned for a single comment in /ooc! A single fictious comment in the middle of a conversation. I did my best to apologize to all players involved and for the comment to any whom might have read it.
I have petitioned Xao and been told my indescretion was so ludicrous that I was instantly banned for it.
We have all seen players freak out and lose there cool. People who have told Gm's to stuff it... People who have blown up /ooc with F bombs and every other imaginable scenario. Some were banned if any such behavior got too out of line. However the majority end up in jail for a day or a week. I did nothing but apologize after making the stupid (<<--admittedly) comment
We have also all seen some of the ridiculous conversations in /ooc and some of the more sick comments were reprimanded by a "warning" in /ooc.
Heres where it gets tricky, because I can easily admit I was wrong... and I did break the (/ooc Rules) but my crime was nowhere near the type of punishment I recieved.
Heres what happened:
After watching a conversation started by a guy apologizing for leaving in the middle of a raid, because "his dog was sprayed by a skunk so they had to wash the dog and hunt down the skunk and kill it..."shovels and what not"... The conversation progressed but receeded at the same time. People began to throw up "worse and worse hypothetical situations for having missed a raid in the middle of it." I still hadn't said a word. I viewed several /ooc's about being "busy with world domination/ Woman beating/ Child destruction/ and i was beating a skunk with a shovel... Me being the tard I am threw up in idiocy -and I quote "Oh sorry i missed the raid fellas. I was hanging out with acouple 15 year old chicks" - 1 upper failcake....
Pow Bam - Jail instant ban....
I did wrong.... but really? I have leveled/geared/aa'd'tomed and loved my Gnome Paladin since day 1.... 4 years ago.
Jail me for a month! PLEASE!
I wrote an appeal to Xao and asked for reinstatement but he refused.
So I turn to you! The populace of dalaya. For the last 4 years, I have played with so many of you and had so much fun its silly. The guilds
Dalayas Beginners - Aeternus - Sacred Band - Unemployed - Seven Virtues - Bane - Dragonkin -Iratus Lepus - Prestige - Oathsworn - Blackscale Legion - Veterans - Seduction - Scourge - BBSR! - Venerate and many more ... all i can think of.
I have had friends and still do in all of these guilds so I must ask for your support. Make a post!
I love Shards of Dalaya. I hope it lasts 50 years so I can stay happy. Those of you above ^^^^ We've played so much together, please let the gm's know that the punishment was to much. Tell them to utilize the Jail function! anything. This is the First true run in I've had with a gm... soo I must have been doing ok the first 4 years.
I wrote to Xao that even before the gm had typed out /cm jail/banhisass I had stated in /ooc that I was sorry and outta line.
I don't know what else to say fellas.... You might not wanna ever use /ooc again.
I thank you all for your help! and hope I can see you again someday...
