Vah Shir..

So.. With the unlocking of the Vah shir.. will it be possible with any means to get a race change? to vah shir? nothing else, just race, from Barbarian to Vah Shir.

I'm currently a Barbarian shaman that just hit 45 and I'd prefer to not have to reroll..
I've also always had a fondness for cats :p so I'm asking the staff if its possible, via petition, lottery or some other event..

P.S Ikaa, I know how much you like to make me look like an ass.. but I ask you to refrain from it this time, a simple no will suffice ;)

any explanation would be nice, but not necessary :)

They are not held very often, and when they are your chances of winning specifically that are extremely slim. (There are also many other prizes done in lotteries - often cash-only ones.)

It's a lottery. . . I've waited years to win a race change to turn my cleric into a Barbie. (Race changes are best used to make impossible race/class combos in my personal opinion *cough* gnome bards *cough* ). At level 45, I would suggest re-rolling if you REALLY want that race change for your shaman.
 
lvl 45 isnt to bad to reroll from. You could be as bad as Gnome boy Bran and make dozens of characters to lvl 65 only to delete / give away.
seriously, SB Illusion is your friend.

but Illusion wont give me the racial benefits will it? infravision, no heal penalty at night etc etc..?

plus if I reroll id have to unbind all my crap, which I really cant afford atm, and redo all the quests :( on the other hand..
I really do want to be a cat :)

well its nice to have gear but everyone at one point in time starts out with nothing. make a cat and go check what low lvl armor quests they offer and keep in mind that if you really like it over time you'll bank enough pp to pay the unbind fee on your gear. might not be all at once but at least it means you can save cash over buying new gear. Or maybe its cheaper to unenchant the gear and sell to vendor to buy new gear off listsold or from /auc.
 
If you MUST be a cat, just start out the way mother Althuna intended. Naked and auto-attacking to lvl. Not saying you cant/ shouldn't twink your char... but personally i think you would enjoy the char more if you started out with nothing and worked your way up.

Honestly I was hoping for something like finishing the vah quest +all of the sidequests giving you an option to switch

i agree, when i get home tomorrow an check out the cat classes i'll start it naked and see where i end up. one reason i choose iksar monk when i first started here was the newb quest armor and location. never much cared for newport/freeport.

Just curious, did Encs get a Illusion Val added to that line of spells? Seeing how we have have illusions for all the other races it would make sense.
