Of course its not a perfect comparison, but its not that bad either. Most classes, the tomes aren't a huge deal, but for some (mages come to mind), they are a huge DPS improvement, on par, with relic spells.

And saying high end content doesn't get fixed because nobody wants to help is just wrong. Marza did not just decide he was bored with SOD, his power to create content of his own got stripped. Its pretty clear that SOD end game progression is not supposed to happen anymore, after seeing what happened to Marza, and then the complete lack of interest/effort in changing/fixing things at those tiers ever since then. I've even personally talked to other Devs who say that anything they try to change in that realm just wont get approved.

It's bound to happen when all but one Dev has quit SoD as a player. The disconnect between what they think is happening and how things can be fixed and what is actually occurring is probably outrageously big. I am not trying to be insulting, but when the last tier you raided was somewhere between 6 and 9 there is no way you could have knowledge of the mechanics and requirements to effectively do tier 12 content.

I'm not sure if this is a jab at slaariel but he has made a t13 fight. and it doesn't take a rocket science to do t13 content.

If anything they want him to come back and create more content. People are going off on the server staff because one person went far left and they brought his gear back in line with the "vision" of the server.

I don't know the details, but my understanding of how things went down is quite different.

Then you have the fact that when his left wing items got brought back in line with "vision" they were not balanced to be appropriate for the challenge in obtaining them, and the countless threads making careful numerical comparisons showing this have all been ignored.

Then you have Thaz 1, which was beat and loot promised long ago, yet never delivered. Literally all they have to do is create a loot table, but it hasn't happened.

Then you have problems/threads like this, where we have a clear problem, a clear solution, and not even any attempt to communicate by staff.

As I have said I love this server, and want to see it grow and succeed, but when I see all these things happening, after waiting year(s) for something to hopefully change, I start to form a picture of why this all may be, and I know those thoughts are shared by many other players. We don't want to be negative, but when you put all the facts together, it just looks really bad.

- now to point out one thing in regards to making careful numerical comparisons being ignored. When I got my Cella on Diashan i immediately tested it and got some information to base a thread on getting it changed. After posting my information and presenting it to slaariel I got the weapon changed from the dodo pro it was before to something where it is beneficial to swing the damn weapon. So I'm sorry that you think that it falls on deaf ears but it works. You just need to apply the eyate method and post so much information where they cannot tell you no

- I'm not going to go over the numbers but is the gear being provided to you better than what you can get at a previous tier? if so then yes its better. Stop making it seems like you have to do some advanced mechanics in t13 fights as if its an end all thing. if you can take people who haven't done the fight and explain it ala tarutao and not fuck up then its not some crazy ass mechanic fight.

- Solo I was there on the first Thaz clear / beating. I'm not even worried about the loot. Plus the guild on the thaz kills was Handlebar Mustache not Shining Force. So I don't really see why you're asking for gear your guild has right to get.

-In regards to problems/threads i hope you realize there are like 2 people working on the server and they're working on the upgrade which has been stated many many many times before. I don't understand why asking for help when they clearly have stated that they will be focusing on the upgrade to the client. Not only that its the holidays ... Give them a break. seriously....

-PS: and if you think I'm just some homer for the server take a look at the review i did on this server about a year ago where i addressed this very thing about posting and getting no replies. unfortunately the reply was made and it was hey we're working on something else and until thats done we won't work on anything else.

I've been doing this for literally years now for monk gloves and other issues without anything to show for it. Plenty of other issues are in the same boat. It's not even a matter of being told "no" it's simply being ignored. If Slaar personally likes you or feels like communicating with you, congrats you might get something accomplished. The other 95% of players are shit outta luck though.

You got one item changed because it was literally not worth using for its intended purpose (healer meele) to something vaguely useful, but still worse than items two tiers lower. That is sort of a theme with the high end gear at the moment. Some of the items are fine where they are (mainly stuff that had no channeling, or (left wing) effects to begin with). Yes items are an "upgrade", but things like the Rujik Drum, BW Gloves, and Monstro Arms have only slightly better stats than their predecessors 2-3 tiers lower. At any other point in the game, a direct upgrade with a 2-3 tier disparity would be outstandingly, unquestionably better.

When I mention Thaz it is not because I feel entitled to some free loot, I wasn't even there on the kill, it is because it is an example of high end content that is actually completed, but with still no reward. I even heard from a staff source that the loot table has been created, but wont be approved/released in game. What is that supposed to make players think? I want new content to do battle with, and there is new content, with all the work done, but for some reason Devs have chosen for it to remain without a reward. That is just such a bad standard to set. How can you expect players to want to beta test new content and find/deal with the bugs when you do things like this? This is a clear example of why so many players are disheartened and negative about the staff right now.

I know staff has limited time, and I really do think we all want the best for the server, but players have been patient. Some of these problems, this one included, have been around for years, and posts were made about them years ago. I try to keep a positive attitude, but when I look at all the facts, I don't know what conclusion can be reached other than that some of the powers that be just don't want end game players to be able to progress any further. You see other posts, about lower tier issues or bugs or w/e that get addressed very quickly, and staff communicates well about them, but if its something related to the end game, I don't even remember the last time I saw any staff response in one of those threads.
