TO: TMap vendors and those interested in becoming one

There is no problem with tmaps imo. If people are dumb enough to sell a map for less than it will get them then I say let the buyer gain a profit.

I'm not convinced a lot of the sellers actually KNOW what they can get, on average, from a tmap - since I routinely see them going for less than the average cash return (from my tmapping experience).

The thing is, many know, but doing TMaps again and again and again even if you know you're going to get more cash than by selling them gets old.

I have more than 10 VE to Mod Tmaps opened in my bags, and I have a hard time motivating people to come and dig them withe me when we could do nearly anything else (and I am not pushing too hard either, Ihave done so many I just don't want to know).

So maybe I'm mistaken, but isn't fishing the cheapest "tradeskill" by far?

I mean, who cares if the price has dropped a few hundred plat. How much money have you put into it anyway? Seriously... you spend like a few copper per attempt right?

For those who wish to play the time card, time is not a factor in value where an entire game is basically a time sink.

Lower the drop rate on bottled maps. They were a luxury at one point in time, and in another they didn't even exist.

Be thankful you can fish up t-maps at all.

They are fine as is. Theres a point where they'll be more in demand again, so lets not bother the devs with having to tweak them now, and in 6 monthes again.

Fishers can sell them lower, or save them in the hopes the prices will get back up.

I think they are where they should be. Honestly most people would not consider doing them if the plat return was not greater than the cost. If you look at the cost vs time vs reward the prices are actually about where they should be concidering a failures cost.

I do think that something should be done about mezz and tmaps. It seems that a tmap without mezz can be overly difficult, especially rats on easy and with a mezzer up all the maps under mod become trivial(never failed a tmap with a decent mezzer). Not really sure what could be done about it though.

it's the cc's job to make your life easier. when you have 3+mobs attacking you at once, its going to be more difficult if you can't lockdown the ones you aren't fighting. I don't see why you would want to make a cc's role in a tmap moot

I can druid tank rats... dont see why its a problem. Aoe the crap out of them, spam heal, let ds kill  OR just use a decent tank if u refuse to cc :psyduck:

There are more ways than just mez to crowd-control.

As for rats, I agree they're totally annoying, but doable. If anything, I just wish they were dark blue to 65 instead of light blue.

Don't be silly . . . aren't the items you can potentially get from them worth a pretty penny too?

To people who need them, yes. But as they are all no drop, they're worthless unless they're an upgrade.

I'm not dismissing your point, but just saying that it's not always the case. I've been on quite a few Tmap hunts where all the loot rotted because people already had it or because it wasn't an upgrade. So we were just doing it for EXP and the person buying the maps could make back their investment in the maps. :)

I still think the maps are good where they're at. It's a good alternative to the usual exp grinds, gives some decent loots (potentially), and lets people recoup costs of finding something for their group to do.
