Suggestions for Rebuilding Felwithe

The bank is crucial to the success of the city as a major hub, however I believe it also needs an augmentation vendor, both available at day and night.

This should become the first rebuilded city deep within the lines of the enemy if I understood you right.
Please think about that whatever may happen, the worst thing that could ever happen to us is to forget. I vote for some sort of library not as in Erudin but just as a place of knowledge where you can learn the past and present of Dalaya, where we will gather everything that we discovered about the plague and where we may collect severl ways of fighting the plague.

Besides all the crucial things this will be a necessarity to survive, I hope you agree with the rough idea, that we badly need a place of wisdom and knowledge that isn't that out of range as Erudin is, I think Felwhite is good for it, it is a symbol for our fight and it was a great place of wisdom though it was High Elvish and I don't know how long it will need to convince other "bad" races besides me to join you or Felwhite to learn.

That is a very nice idea Manluas, it really goes along with the whole theme of maintaining the memory.

Not in a very long time actually...Last I heard Rivervale was kinda bad at night...still it'd be nice to have another one then

Also, the more people *use* the city, the faster construction process things will go.

Given this, I think the ideas (suggested here and in the poll thread) of a translocator and an Amulet of Athica should be given a pretty high priority, even if they require significant resources. Even though there's a translocator at Underhill, it's still a long run (ooc: and 3 zones) from there to Athica. An additional thought, we should find out if it would cost less resources to lure the Underhill translocator to Athica instead of training a new one (give him a bump in wages to move over). At the very least, we should find out what resources they require so we can start collecting/saving.

Also, when setting up the town, if we could position the translocator, postmaster, and the banker near the front of the city for convenience, that would encourage adventurers to travel to Athica as well. (ooc: a banker in the same zone as a translocator and/or postmaster, if allowed, would generate a LOT of traffic to the city!)

What we really need at this point is 9 handmade backpacks. You can hunt for Grizzly Bear Pelts in Mistwoods and Obsidian Shard Mountains. Desouza has 250 Tailoring skill, and I know Aarielly and Dundrey can make them as well (I am not sure if it is trivial to them though). Without the backpacks our plans for the postmaster is at a stalemate.

Jayelle, I will send some Grizzly Bear pelts to you later that day ingame.
If I should send them to another person tell me here, I have no idea who will at the end make the Backpacks.

Just read what was needed for the banker, all the pottery stuff is trivial to me and I'd be happy to make any and all of it.

Count me in to help with the ore. 25 stacks should not take much time at all. Also, in case all the other potters are unavailable, I can make any pottery supplies atm.

7. Two trader NPC's. One that sells either potions or materials to create potions.

8. The other trader NPC would sell material for low to mid level tailoring(for the sake of conveniance, that and when you sell all those hides they've gotta end up somewhere...).

These would be a great idea, and easy to implement, but with limited supplies. My vendor in SNP currently has many stacks of low level (sub 200 skill) tailoring supplies, at lower than the prices I paid when I was using them. Basically I have started collecting materials at what I consider to be affordable prices, and putting them on my vendor for the same prices.

In order for this to work (using the current vendor system) we would need to do the following:

1. Create an account to hold materials and manage this vendor. (2 or 3 folks would share this account)
2. Agree on what meterials would be purchased/sold, and reasonable prices for materials for each.
3. Have people activley purchase these materials at the agreed upon prices, then give them to someone with the vendor account.
4. Heavy penalties (i.e suspension/banning) for anyone using this vendor, or the account, for any other purpose.

Now, a better way to implement this, but requiring code to make it work, would be to have an NPC merchant that would buy only certain components, and resell them at a set price. Maybe the merchant would accept a maximum amount of each item (20 stacks?) and would only purchase up to that amount. This would probably require a LOT of coding, and I dont expect it to happen, but just a thought.

Bringing up the point that Luas made, I think it would be a great idea to have a Lorekeeper in Athica like the ones in Erudin library. Perhaps you can put them in one of the old guilds or in that little shop in the southern end of the city near where we spoke with the guardian.

(Jay i need to see you in game i have pp for you!)

After talking thigns over with a few friends of mine(since I'm as yet still withotu a client) I've realized something that's a teensy bit disturbing. The Main Quest for necromancers allows you to choose either good or evil, yet the newport necro quests basicly garentee evil alighnment in about five minutes.

Why am I posting this here? Simple. Quests would be far far down the line, but what about starting up a sepirate necro faction within Athica for those necromancers that choose the 'good' path in main quest? After all Athica seems to be a city of reconstruction and seconed chances, so why consider it for something that would be nice to have since the newport necros are pretty much dedicated to desease spreading and, so far as I know of, the ones in Grobb seem to really care less one way or another(then again I don't have any friends who play iksar necros).

For the sake of refference what, aside from plat, would be 'useful' for the whole rebuilding project?

Asking since if all goes well I'll be returning to Dalaya soon and I'm probably goign t ospend time focusing on my tradeskills(right now tailoring and brewing, prolly'll end up also working on pottery sooner or later too).
