sod gone from the C drive

I had issues today after 8ish years with the patcher showing up as a Trojan? It's a conspiracy to shut us down!

Might have to disable Windows defender for a minute before it gets deleted...
 
I lost a whole folder of pictures, back-up files, etc. also.... Is there no list of what it blasted or no place it sends it all to? Is this just a W10 thing? or will this happen in 7 or 8? Not much pisses me off worse than something just deleting my shit without asking...
 
I found that on my old computer, but not seeing it on this one. I assume permissions issue, maybe with hidden folders, but it doesn't work the way it used to and I'm too lazy to go searching for it atm..maybe later...
 
it could be something else, i just know that that folder is used when windows 10 "upgrades" and decides to remove programs
