Selo`s Chords of Cessation is a 48 bard AoE Dot it has a 5% slow but the damage on it is ridiculously low. It's a pretty pointless song. 24 a tic and then 73 with my drum I beleive. This song needs more power. =/ It would work for level 20ish but 48 seems odd.

Nearly all of the bard songs scale up as you level, afaik. Meaning at level 65 this song is a 40% AE slow with a small DoT component. Not too bad, I use it pretty often in AE groups.

This song has a 25% slow component and does 34 base damage on 65 and is a stringed song. You can get up to ~80 damage a tick and a slock. However, it is a 48th level song, so it only has its moments during 50+ levels. It is also the only AoE song we get with a DoT and a slow, so I believe it is fairly balanced for its level.

I tend to forget this as well, but remember, most classes just replace their spells every "spell level". Bards get a variety of songs that are used in different situations. It may not be great, but sometimes a song serves a role and makes bards more diverse.

Trust me, I do a fair share of bitching about songs, but all in all, they are all fairly balanced and have their place in groups/raids/solo.

All bard pbaes are either string or brass.

I have no proof of this, but I would assume the slow component is a good deal of aggro if the bard wants it. I messed around using this in rust myself, but decided the slow component was counterintuitive to what I was doing.
