ugh yeah forgot about that (but I still really.....really like my AA idea (hey replace dire charm! no one uses that anyway)

Ok- If it HAS to be passive:

Jayla's Blessing
Cost: 2/4/6 (same as shared mind)
Passive (same as shared mind)
Affected Targets: immediate group (same as shared mind)

*(might be impossible to require)*Pre-requisites: gather mana (ok fine if it needs same dependencies remove this...itll just be useless without having gather mana)

Upon gathering mana, the enchanters group (same targets as shared mind would affect) gains some benefit of the gather as well. The first rank allows them to regenerate 5% of their mana, the second rank 10%, and the third rank 15%.

***And if its impossible to tie it in to another AA like that....you could have it give the group additional passive mana regen of 5/10/15% per tick extra based on how much mana the enchanter regained in the previous tick - that way itd be barely beneficial all the time, and after a gather the following tick theyd gain a decent chunk.

For Example,
Say I regained 40 mana in the previous tick on my enchanter, the group would gain 6 extra mana the following tick (with rank 3)
If I gathered mana the following tick at 0% mana, and went up to my full 7k mana, theyd receive 1050 mana the following tick
If I gathered mana when I was at 30% (for some odd reason if they needed mana right away) theyd receive a lesser benefit, and so on.

(I see this as being very useful on raids, while not overpowered as it is purely mana pool and the enchanters own regen dependent. It also gives people a reason to actually group enchanters more often in harder zones such as cmal4/emberflow instead of just getting our buffs and leaving us in the dust)

That sounds like a pretty spiffy idea ( the second one ) there Serillis. As long as it was a short duration like paragon or something like that.

I understand that shared mind doesn't currently work.

But the design of shared mind accomplishes some important things.

1) it gives people a reason to group with enchanters besides buffs.
2) it gives enchanters a reason to get some AA's that they personally dont benefit from.
3) It benefits melee dps, caster dps and tanks.

I see nothing specifically wrong with your suggestion except that it doesn't accomplish #2 or #3. Only #1. This IMO makes it an inferior option.

not only does shared mind not work, but the coding to MAKE it work is very very difficult and I highly doubt it will EVER be fixed.

Maybe make this AA regen their mana AND stamina?

So, I’ve been talking to Cyryllis(Serillis) in game about this topic here, and it got me thinking.

I’m thinking we could do something to make the broken shared better and actually work. (Instead of having us waste 150 AA on basically worthless skills)

Here is our basic idea:

The AA will check to see whether or not the enchanter has combat ferocity, combat agility, unearing precision, lightning reflexes, spell casting fury, spell casting mastery, and fury of magic. But instead of then using a specific skill and relaying it off the enchanter to add bonus to the group it would just be a general bonus that scales up.

The scaling up would be something like this:

Once the enchanter has obtained around 25 or so aa's in this list (the ones previously mentioned, can be a mix of them), tier one takes place. At this tier, rank one would give something like 1% chance of melee/spell crit to the group. Rank 2 would have a minor (15 or so) ATK bonus and minor stamina regen. Rank 3 would give an additional 1 mana/hp regen on top of all of the rest.

So, an enchanter with 25 AAs out of the list with Rank 3 of shared mind would give 1%melee/spell crit, +15 atk, minor stamina regen, and 1mana/hp regen.

Once an enchanter reached say, 75-100 AAs from the list, they would enter Tier 2, and it would be a slight boost up from the previous ranks. And once the enchanter finishes ALL 150ish AA’s in combat/fury/LR etc. they would move on to Tier 3 of the AA.

So an enchanter with EVERY one of the AA’s _and_ Rank 3 of shared mind would give something along the lines of +4% spell/melee crit, +50 ATK, decent stamina regen, +5 mana/hp regen.

Hopefully something around those lines can be possible, and the work to get all those aa's wont really be a complete waste as it is now. Also I'm not really sure where shared mind is broken so not sure if this is even possible. So by basing it off of simple numbers such as this, and having the AA itself just scale up in power as the cap is reached would make enchanters a much better addition to groups and raids and will bring us a step up from being one of the most undesired classes to play or group with.

That is quite possibly the MOST difficult to code suggestion I've ever seen.

It's a great idea on paper, but to code that, you're looking at more work than designing a zone. Seriously. Something like Serillis's idea is more realistic to be honest. Even then, coding in a bonus to others from a tick of regen on your own characters is pretty damn difficult in the coding system SoD uses, it might even be impossible for the system to do it. Or even if they accept the idea, it might take them another year of CONSTANT attention to figure it out.

Shared mind is being done in the next month or two to be what it was promised to be plus something.

As much as the suggestions are great its not the AA to discuss - its being worked on (Finally)
