Relic spells are designed as raid spells, for those who raid. It is intentionally very difficult (no relation to the tmap) to obtain them without raiding.
Therein lies the rub. Saw the same argument in live for oh so long and so often.
Casuals wanting equal chance for time put in the game to get uber spells/equipment.
Raiders (non-casauls) telling them they don't deserve it or need it because they don't raid.
I'm stuck in the middle myself, I see the argument, and can't really agree with either side.
I'm not a raider. My schedule just wont allow me to spend that much time in one sitting. I put in a lot of time in the game, but just in smaller spurts. Would I like to have relic spells? Sure I would. Do I think I need them? Not really. Not for a guy like me who barely has time to do a tmap a couple times a week. But still, a chance, be it ever so small, to obtain them would be cool.
The thing is... those of us who cannot raid, are sometimes made to feel as if we are second class players. Not worthy of the attention raiders get. This is not nearly as evident as it was in Live game. In SoD, the gap between casuals and raiders is much much much smaller. But, it's still there. And it probably should be.
Now, don't go get your panties in a bind, I'm not feeling sorry for myself or us casuals. I know our place. And I am content with it. Just wish some people were not so anxious to remind us of it so often.
