This is pretty bogus, and simply people not wanting to help others, which is fine, if you don't want to help, don't post things. But going around and undoing the help someone wanted to give? douchebaggery.
 
If you guys really want to bitch about something that supposedly happened on the old wiki over two years ago, start a new thread. I've said my peace on the matter, and I gave you a green light, as I have several times before.

I will say this, on a related matter, and to expand on what I said in my previous reply: I've been too busy to deal with the 'strats' on adept pages. They are terrible. If you add something like that to any NPC that is not an adept, I may move it to the talk page and ask that it be reworded.

And if you sign strats, expect a 24 hour wiki ban, just for being a douche.

Edit: Signing anything on the wiki outside of talk pages and news posts has been against policy for over a year now.

More Edit: If you're worried about how to format strats, I'm on IRC, and I check ALL edits usually within 24 hours. If you want to talk to me in IRC ask in #sod if you can send me a PM. Or you can make a mock-up in your user pages and I will gladly help you with it there.

  • No one but admins has EVER been able to delete pages on this wiki or the old one.
  • Any user can remove content on unprotected pages. And any user can revert to last version of these pages.
  • The current wiki is moderated (by yours truely, and occasionally by other editors)
  • When the wiki was moved to official servers (End of '08) all page history from the old wiki was lost. This means versions from before then cannot be retrieved.
  • Before the wiki was moved, Cyzaine and I updated all NPCs. This was done via bot, and new format was added above old format, to prevent data loss. I believe this was finished post-move and you may find evidence of this at the butt-end of NPC histories.
  • About 4 months ago, NPC formatting was updated again. Again, every effort was made to preserve non-retarded notes.
  • Expect more updates. Merchants and Adepts are on the to-do.
  • The wiki is better formatted for information about NPCs (Battle information section: special attacks, spells they cast, the damage they deal out, etc) than for First do A then B strats - If formatting becomes wildly different between NPCs because of strats, I will not be pleased.
  • The wiki is not a conspiracy (with the exception of the previously mentioned Master of the Pack incident :tinfoil:)
  • Why are we still talking about this?

I was defending admins and explaining why the belief exists. its not an accusation.

And i have no idea what rari thinks is going on. I was not attacking her, you, admins, other devs, or gms, just pointing something out so you all would understand why there is baggage about posting certain topics on the wiki. And the wiki is infinitely more useful then it was 16 months ago.

They're all talking about that one day Kerolynne went bonkers and removed strats from fights in a random smattering of tiers with little to no logic behind it, and removed most of the text from the Vah quest write up.
