I was hoping to get some information on how exactly skill boosts from different sources stack. I'm going to make up some hypothetical numbers that should make explanation a little easier here:
Let's say you've got the following:
200 skill in dodge
+10 dodge from an item
+10% avoidance boost from specializations
+10% avoidance boost from AAs
Remember, these are just made up figures. My question is, how do they stack? Barring some very complex equation, I see four possibilities:
A) boosts applied cumulatively to the base skill PLUS the item bonus
B) Boosts applied separately to base skill PLUS item bonus
C) boosts applied cumulatively to the base skill, but NOT the item bonus
D) boosts applied separately to the base skill, but NOT to the item bonus
So they would look like this:
A) 1.1 x 1.1 x (200 + 10) = 254.1
B) (200 + 10) + .1 x (200 + 10) + .1 x (200 + 10) = 252
C) 1.1 x 1.1 x 200 + 10 = 252
D) 200 + 10 + .1 x 200 + .1 x 200 = 250
