Question re: skill boosts

I was hoping to get some information on how exactly skill boosts from different sources stack. I'm going to make up some hypothetical numbers that should make explanation a little easier here:

Let's say you've got the following:
200 skill in dodge
+10 dodge from an item
+10% avoidance boost from specializations
+10% avoidance boost from AAs

Remember, these are just made up figures. My question is, how do they stack? Barring some very complex equation, I see four possibilities:

A) boosts applied cumulatively to the base skill PLUS the item bonus
B) Boosts applied separately to base skill PLUS item bonus
C) boosts applied cumulatively to the base skill, but NOT the item bonus
D) boosts applied separately to the base skill, but NOT to the item bonus

So they would look like this:
A) 1.1 x 1.1 x (200 + 10) = 254.1
B) (200 + 10) + .1 x (200 + 10) + .1 x (200 + 10) = 252
C) 1.1 x 1.1 x 200 + 10 = 252
D) 200 + 10 + .1 x 200 + .1 x 200 = 250

Wiz willing to comment?

Ahh, I guess I assumed the avoidance boost from AAs and specializations applied directly to the avoidance skills like dodge in the form of a boost. I gather that's wrong?

I think that they do not apply to avoidance skills but rather to miss/hit calcs for the mob.
If the mob scores a miss -- they miss (Based upon Dex/agi/defense/offense/AA/etc) .
If they score a hit - then your active avoidance (dodge/block/riposte/parry) kick in based upon their success%.

If you have just + avoidance (lets say from specializations) -- then i think it occurs for the mobs hit/miss check. -- the first check.

Anyway, this is just what I have heard/seen and understood to be happening.

Miss is done first. A 10% chance to parry provides the exact same average damage reduction as +10% avoidance.
