QOL - Alliance Spells and Bracer Procs

Sure - "BSD, for when you have nothing else better to do than bang your head in frustration."

Even better would be not to take a suggestion from a QUALITY OF LIFE thread and turn it into a place to serve up condescension. People know full well what the bracers do. The fact is, making them proc on an alliance spells is inconvenient and not contributing anything to the game - Faction spells have never been designed to cause agro. It is purely a beneficial spell, and forcing people to remove a bracer to cast it adds nothing to the game. Full Stop.

On the subject of calm spells. Since those are utility which is cast on an aggressive enemy, I'm perfectly fine leaving a requirement to swap out in game. I wanted to float it as a suggestion for improving the mechanic. It isn't supposed to dumb anything down, but it would provide a measure of improved usability (A memed spell in areas with heavy pathers is alot easier to cast when you don't have to un-equip two bracers when you see that roamer coming by).

If you disagree with the suggestion, fine, but implying that someone who makes a thread like this doesn't know his or her gear is unfair. It's like saying anyone who operates a computer with a GUI instead of a command line has dumbed down their experience and doesn't know anything about computers when in reality, sometimes people just want a more intuitive interface.

The point of my post was not condescending. It was a statement that people should be aware about mechanics of gear and mechanics of the game. Just like south Newport does not like illusions if you are in an illusion (non player race) you will be attacked so unless you want to be attacked by the guards don't ele or skely illusion in snp.

Alliance spells are listed under Utility Beneficial. Expecting them not to proc IS understanding the mechanics of the game. Sorry to rain on your superiority parade

I'm all about allowing as much freedom in game as possible, falling off cliffs, attacking guild masters, anything a player could conceivably want to do they should be able to do. Nobody wants to proc a bracer on their alliance clicky though... This is a situation that ONLY occurs by mistake, and can massively suck, and sometimes cause irreplaceable damage. Given all of that, I welcome this change, and any other similar QOL stuff.

Isn't an alliance spell essentially using magic to meddle with someone's mind, and therefore inherently hostile? Bracer procs seem right to me... *shrug*

Clickys proc bracers now?

Bracer procs can nuke you as well, even casting a buff or a heal. So you're saying they shouldn't go off when casting a buff or heal as well, those are beneficial only?
