Price Check Bot

Well I think it's a good idea, and I think it would better suit this game. Without it, the game supports the hardcore players who barely leave the game, and casual players and new players are at a major loss. It's a stale and artificial economy, and doesn't work like a real economy. In real life, or in other games, if you want to know the price of something, you can find it somehow. You can't do that in this game, because there isn't enough information, there aren't enough people, and the limited number that there are, do not communicate well or at all. So it's an elitist thing that caters solely to the regulars and everyone else be damned. So you may think it's a bad idea, I think otherwise.

*Theoretically* if all the vendor prices for items were in, you could easily estimate the "value" of an item at between 1x vendor and 2x vendor (and upwards depending on rarity).

Since they are not in (though quite a few are) and since they are not 100% finalized (clearly subject to change and tweaking) and since only the seller knows that value, it's a rougher approximation and you may not be able to see it. But that's something at least.

If someone is selling an item, it's always a good idea to ask them how much it vendors for. That will let you know what you can likely expect to get out of an item when you sell it off after you are done with it (unenchant). If the vendor price is ridiculously low, then you know the vendor prices aren't in yet, but they will be. In that case, you might even make a profit depending on your luck =] particularly if that item is rather saturated.

Thanks for the tip, I'll try that in the future.
