Okie... i was fighting in EW one day, and suddenly this giant black panther comes out fo no where. I know, truely, this time it is ALL OVER. I am 60 feet from the ramp to Frosthorn and I am sure I am nto going to make it. Anyway, the Panther walks right by me, and I am truely feeling the spirit of Divine Intervention, Marlow praise us all. It makes perfect sense, a tank that finds out I am main healer has all kind of nightmares, stay on topic!
Anyway, on a lark, I finish my fight and hail the panther. It talks back. He gives me a sob story of evil giants. Well, people are all over the place suggesting that I cause the giants untold grief... to basically be anywhere they are not.
So, I level a bit, pick up a few friends, and I beg 4 of them who happened to be in the Great Divide to kill a named giant in the fort. I promised them phat loot, hey, I can promise anything you want, and finally, they agree. A few people die, but we kill First Sergeant Derkotus. I get the no drop 15/45 sword, someone gets a frosty head, and 4 people get to whim about trusting amphibians.
Wonders upon wonders, I pull the same scam a second time, we are in Stormkeep, I am pulling, and as I round a corner, there is another one of the names mentioned by the panther. So, I pull it. The crew, seeing the named, salivate. We win, I get the SK only no drop cloak, someone gets a frosty head (from a storm giant) and 3 people stand in disbelieve at my second treachery.
So, tonight, I coerce a few more friends to bring their friends and we can kill some more giants. One guy in GD, the other in Stormkeep, the third guy HAS to be in East Wastes, right? Anyway, I call them to the orc fort near GD. One of my friends explains that he has hunted the area, and no High Priest Razan spawns there, but there is a second camp of static giants to the north. We proceed to rez our party a few times as we get lost traversing the 200 feet of snowy terrain liberally scattered with desolation interspereced with the occasional snow bunny of doom.
We arrive and I nearly wet myself with happiness as there is Uber Praetor Razan. Sounds high preisty, this is my guy. Anyway, we have a fight, we win, and no one dies. I ninja the heart, someone loots a frosty head and some bonus rations, and 4 people call for my head on a pike. I scamper away from most of the group with the assistance of a friendly ranger when we run slap into the big black panther.
Well, being a prepared sort, I had brought the other two pieces with me. I proceed to give them to the panther just before the posse catches up to me.

These are three level 57 giants hitting for 300!
It occurs to me that I blasted a single level 35 mob in oasis a dozen levels ago and handed a piece into another guy in the same zone which netted me

I cannot help but feel that there has been some mistake, or at least, my hopes and dreams had caused my imagination to swell to loftier expectations.
( Disclaimer: A great deal of poetic license was taken in the above story. I would like to thank my very supportive guild members who came running all three instances that we were able to locate one of the giants. We were not blessed with research on this quest... we could not even find a record of this quest's existance logged on the internet. In the same spirit, i have not mentioned the panther's name, the only likely search string provided at the beginning of the quest. So, if nothing else, we had fun doing something together, without any preexisting knowledge of the outcome. Thank you for that if nothing else. However, I would be incomplete if I did not say that even our lowly guild of the underequipped has no plans to do it a second time as it now stands, and felt extremely let down at the completion of the first. )
