Pet Discipline AA

1. Allow everyone to use /pet hold from level 1 regardless of class (easily doable and we've been wanting to anyway).

2. Change Pet Discipline AA to Shared Power (passive): the user's pet gains full benefit from the user's Focus Effects for any nuke/dot/heal procs and abilities they use. Maybe share some of the user's resists from items too or something but no reason to go overboard here.

3. For Beastlords this could instead be a second pet heal active AA or something since it will still have a button (although I'm not sure if it could have a spell attached like with other active AAs since it seems more like a pet window button, but we can find that out when we try).

Isn't this exactly what pet resist tomes do allready? If you want to boost pet resists a bit more, I'd favour adding some resists per rank to the companion health focus effect.

I need recall minion 1 instead of 2. (1 much useful than 2 for hunting)
Cant roll back to 1 cuz there is no way. Just saying. :(

You already have it.

Recall Minion 2.0 said:
This ability allows you to instantly call your minion to your side, making him forget all foes he was fighting. The second rank of the ability will additionally make all foes forget about him as well. Furthermore, the second rank will cause your /pet backoff command to summon your pet to you. You may train the first rank upon reaching level 62 and the second rank upon reaching level 64.

Rank 2 now makes /pet backoff functionally identical with rank 1.

Since last week.

Although I guess that was lost in the rollback when we switched to the new server. Will come back soon though.

So ignoring changes that have already happened, are there more than 2 people who have an opinion about giving /pet hold to everyone and replacing Pet Discipline AA as described in the OP?

If not, I'm not going to bother with it.

I am a shadowknight, I have this AA but I have no pet. Even with no pet I am in favor of this idea.

Personally, think it's an awesome idea. If resists are covered by tomes (which I'll then have to do if I get pet hold!), then maybe add in additional buff clicky effects for those who spent the points for discipline? It works with combine armor already, so I'm thinking things like DS clickies, potions, etc. Unless that's OP.

Okay, so after talking to a BL & a mage, BL already get a ton of heals for their pets, and while another one wouldn't be unwelcome, maybe Mages should get one as well/instead. BL actually do get heals, so can heal their pet in some situations, whereas mages are pretty much stuck with relying on the pet heals only, and hoping like hell that the <insert group healer> notices pet damage (sorry, Okabo, I forget him a lot).

I support this idea 100% playing a mage/beastlord. everything except maybe giving beastlords another heal i mean that all fine and nice however playing a bestlord into t8-9 content we are very capable of keeping our pet alive as where mages i know for a fact do not and necro to a lesser extent have trouble i have been told. perhaps changing it to a healing aa for all pet classes?

I was wrong about there being a button at all, will have to just be a passive thing.

Thank you for correcting me, absolutely no one.

I am all for /pet hold to all classes (my druid pet will love it)

And yeah, BLs arent the ones in need of another pet heal... they have a targetted heal that work on tanks just as well as their pet. It is the mage pet that usually dies first from AE's since we have ONE heal with long recast.

Love the idea, I'm not a BL or Mage, so just threw the mage thing out there.... maybe some type of pet regen?

I think another pet heal even with a low recast would not be anywhere near as benificial as having the pet gain out foci and or worn effects.
