ok so im tryin to put this on a different comp, i downloaded .net, ive done the full patch, ive disabled firewalls, ive deleted files and repatch, did the complete download for live, sometimes it makes it to beholder, but thats as far as it will patch to and usually gets stuck at eqw.exe
well so far it seems to go 1 step at a time if i repeatedly stop it and start it again, tho takes many tries to do 1, if anyone knows a better way to get this done, id appreciate it

The last two days I have had bad lag in South Newport and crashed while baking in the oven by the dock, I had two sets of meat pie fixings just vanish. Yes, I was paying attention to how many combines I had, I had just thought after the tenth I should go get some more yeast. I was working on this on 7-07,7-08-07. I thought it was a fluke the first time and didn't say anything - I hope to help someone else who might be doing something more expensive like fried perch. :monocle:

A couple of suggestions:
Add active spyware prevention programs and peer to peer privacy programs (like peerguardian) to the list of things to disable.
Add disabling the above-mentioned programs to this if deleting files.txt doesn't work. I once got stuck on downloading some file or other a few times in a row, then realized I had PG2 running. Disabling it did the trick.

I am having texture problems when it comes to armor. I turned off texture caching, and when that didn't work I deleted all of the *.txc files in my Game directory, yet the problem persists.
To clarify the problem I'm having, some (not all) armor textures will be miscolored or will lose all texture and simply be black. For example, my armor will be properly colored for a split second after I put it on, but then turns a pale green. At least two of my friends also have this problem, and we play on seperate machines (all of which had caching on from when we used to play The Game, if this makes any difference).
Is there a solution for this that I'm missing? Should clearing the cached textures have fixed the issue?
edit - searched around a bit more and found a similar post, where "/dopropertinting on" worked. I tried this and it didn't fix anything. Opening the dye screen and hitting Reset will work temporarily, and only for my own armor, at least.

The texture cache is somewhat bugged in this client version, in fact zones load faster without it.(Correct me if I'm wrong) Post your hardware specs, if you have a dual core PC read this:

Multiple processors mess with textures/models, and setting eqgame.exe's affinity to one processor will correct the issue.

k im having a reoccuring failed to locate string (303) problem, ive dont the sod patch, again, and del. the eqst_us.txt or w/e its called, but it is still presisting, im unsure at this time what to do about this, :what: the eqst isnt marked as read only, anyone with any ideas?
HI i have played SOD 2 previous times for fun and that little something the live servers lost
but now I'm sitting here and i cant remember any of my passwords....
I'm thinking that maybe i do remember them .. and its just the HD crash i heard about in other for subjects
do i need a manual reset of my accounts?
the password change is not enough for this problem but I'm glad its up

Ok I used EQLive's patcher and even reinstalled the entire bloody game, and patched afterwards, and I'm still missing the nightmareb.ZON file! It has nightmareb_chr.txt but not zone file and therefore i cannot go to the dream..where can i get these files? Like I've said, I've used the EQLive and SoD patcher over and over, but not success...
