The only thing I see is no stats - CHA would help here (specially with listed classes). But how would you complain about FT3 after hearing all this stuff about how FT is awesome ? considered the tier I think you say you can get better in Thaz are immaculate ? ToT are Ghan's ? it's just not compareable as this is multislot and hell , you're not supposed to be FT capped at the tier Frost is intended is how I see it.
About multislots, how do you point 1 less FT on a the Cerulean Corona ? it's +102 mana -3FT , so I suppose FT as 50m. I'm sure other people will appreaciate this differently.
Uh bit of a digression but...frost is prison tier iirc. So yes, you are supposed to be capped after a bit of time in prison tier. At least you can be, pretty easily, and it's a good idea. Right off the bat with a 200ishk+mq aug. You've got 5 to work with. Picking up another 6 is cake and involves 1 regular item, and 2 tmap ones. Picking up the rest isn't difficult, though you make alot of sacrifices. But due to aura of balance items, it's probable to reach it tbh.
Tufe you're comparing a priest 1H to a caster/priest 2H. Sure you could get Hammer on same tier - but not the shield. I would quit trying to up a 425m item - is there any other with that much mana ? is the question I would pose - with stuff to make him unreplaceable like more HP & FT. If it needs something it's STA to my appreciation .
The question is not does it have alot of mana. The question is, is it worth using over other things you could reasonably acquire at that tier, or already have. Which has always been the problem with caster 2hers. We can't generally melee for shit (few reasons, lack of dex for example) so a general damage bonus does us no good at all. The problem I'm seeing is with the current stats (mana is fine) it loses out by quite a bit by combined items one could have already. This is partially due to the large lack of hp on it. The only conceivable reason I could think of really to have one would be if one is lacking range increment for a swap in, and at that point one would be better off with a lower range swapped in and keeping their regular primary and secondary in (in most cases I can think of, which is quite a bit).
I do like that there is finally a caster 2her which approaches usefulness. It's long been something at the back of my mind. However I feel it falls short. Things to improve it? Some melee stats would be nice for one, throw some dex on there, as it's obviously a weapon you would want to hit with.
Right now it is
Range 7
50cha
100hp
425m
50cr
25mr
The only way I can really think of to compare it is comparing it v it's alternatives. A few common ones come to mind (note I'm only doing the comp for casters tbh, healers have a different set of considerations, as they generally possess acceptable melee skills)
Irandos
reagent 7
25int
25cha
175 hp
200 m
20mr
So right off the bat, before adding in a 2ndary, we have range v reagent. Range is definitely more useful (for now, come kunark this shows all signs of changing)
The stats add up really to a null, with 50 total v 50 total. Hp Irandos alone is 75 ahead, and the staff ends up with the following still left to be overcome (passed listed too)
+25cha
-25int
-75hp
+225m
+5mr
+50cr
For argument I'll put in a much lower tiered secondary. Shard of the hero shrine
FT1
20int
25cha
100hp
140m
20mr
15ac
The 2her ends up much lower on comp this time
-15ac
-FT1
-175hp
+85m
-15mr
+50cr
-45int
0cha
After ft it ends up 35m ahead. Note that this is with a much lower tiered shield in. It is superior in resists. But there are a number of other combinations where it would fall short as well. For instance, if we put a Wand of the Everliving in primary slot instead, it gets taken out to the woodshed in terms of mana and hp(counting the ft) with a small victory in the area of resists. If anyone wants to suggest any other items feel free.
Really what I think it needs first and foremost, is alot more in the way of hp. Make it comparable to wielding a primary and a secondary, and people will use it. The mana is not too bad, the focus is acceptable, and the resists are decent, standing up to a goodly number of double items. The hp and singular statfocus is really where it starts to lag way behind. Some dex, stamina, agility, all might be good things to toss in there too. I don't see where many healers would wield it regardless as one could rock out a hammer of the deep + tmap shield (upgraded version), and also be far better off in every area (sacrificing about 15 total resist and some raw mana for a massive lump of stats, +hp, useful clicky, ft3, 45 ac, and a more useful focus). Also one of those (the mapshield) is doable at a much lower tier. So I think it's fair to discount much of the argument about healers as a focus of it, as I don't really see why they would be all too hot on getting it, when there are far better alternatives. Unless of course they want it for a fg toy.
To conclude while I applaud the stick as a step in an interesting direction, that I'd like to see continued (2hers have long been ignored by casters, because they are generally shithouse compared to their alternatives). I think it falls a bit short to do that, not really in a way that is easily noticeable unless you've spent a goodly amount of time obsessing over gear though. Which I do.
