New Monk - Questions?

No one mentioned Sihala - is there a reason why? If I wanted to stay neutral or good, is Sihala left out in favor of Althuna? Tarhyl does look best but it appears there would be a large loss of raid targets...
 
Sihala is viable.. you can see Ratkon's fomelo (charm) for the finished monk aug. however, you do have to be careful not to kill any PoE mobs once you complete it, since it doesn't actually flat out prevent you from attacking your own faction unlike other deities.
 
The combo system is pretty interesting. Really only doing RK->rk->rk, but it has been a noticeable dps increase. Is there any reason to try the other combos at a low level? They don't seem to offer anything comparable to the dps of the big kick.

With respect to FD splitting, is there a preferred method to tagging a mob after getting up? Just longest range throwing weapon?

With Sihala - how do I know which mobs are under her control?
 
Generally killing good treants and people in surefall/kelethin are the things you want to avoid doing for sihala.
 
I have been putting all specialization points into blade/strike - is the a good idea? Following maxing that out, move on to blunt/avoidance, and then energy/defense?

Or should I be spreading it around as I move up?
 
I'd do the three you listed in that order, probably followed by sight/warding and then focus/mind.
