New Beastlord Spell - Glaciation of Blood

So rather surprisingly, no one has uncovered it yet. Because it's designed as a general purpose replacement spell, I thought I'd clear up a few rumors, and share some hints on where one might find it, without giving away the thrill of the hunt.

The following are not true:
- It's a relic/runic/archaic spell. Nope, it is a regular old 65 spell
- It comes off some rare-ass mob with a 5 day spawn time. Nope, see below
- It's on a vendor. Nope
- It's quested...well not exactly...

Here are some hints on how to find it:
- The woman you want to talk to can be found in various locations, three in fact. But she's not always around, she's a busy lady. That said, she will make her presence known with some frequency
- Ask yourself: what is the nature of this spell?
- Who might benefit from that nature?
- The spell, while all obtained from the same mob, can be acquired through different means depending on your situation
- The spell is designed to be obtainable at reasonable 65 strength, so no planes or other super hard areas (thanks Swiftur, you're right I left this out)

Some people are definitely on the right track, but might be thinking about it the wrong way. A great lady, Ayn Rand, once said that when faced with a contradiction, check your premises. I have made sure to have her show up when people are around, yet no one seemed to notice. People need to keep their eyes open. :)

Good luck! Feel free to post when you find it - it's not a secret.

this is shards of dalaya today. where GMs have to hold your hand so you can finish a quest

:(

The mob you're looking for is An Emissary of Shojar, blue con female barbarian in chainmail. Soicon found her in The Oasis, shes rather difficult, put a decent smackdown on Kharras. She heals herself pretty good too, bring big heals or a knight for mana drain. If you're Shojar i imagine you can hail for it.

Found An Emissary of Shojar in another zone... I was duoing it, and at 50% she disappeared. Any explanation on that, or was it a bug?

Well, here's my logic, if you'd like to know. Warning, I'm opening up my warped brain.

There will be a progression line for this spell (Gelid Blood will show up next patch). I didn't want a full relic spell. I also didn't want a 65 spell to be directly purchasable via a vendor. What this tells me is that I could make it 1) quested, 2) dropped, 3) something unique. Questing is dumb for the reasons people cite (this is a fix spell). Dropped is fine, but it was hard to find a good mob/set of mobs that wasn't super rare, and I didn't want people to profit off a tradable spell. So this was the result - if you have been a good non-aggressive player, you need do nothing other than pay the tithe. If that isn't acceptable, well, like everything in SoD, violence is always an option.

There you go. That's how I got there.

BTW, I will fix the depopping bug, that's not the intent.

How long are these supposed to stay up? Found one up, ported a group to kill it and by then it had depopped. Second time invis dropped when I was trying to see if I could talk to it on my beastlord and it killed me. Then I brought a group and again it depopped

She can't stand the heat for terribly long, so probably won't stick around more than about 20 minutes or so.

I really like this method of putting a new spell into the game. Its kind of absurd when a new 65 spell is added to the general loot tables, but its really rare for a while, and people price gouge like crazy, charging 30k+ for a new "core" spell. This is a MUCH better method.

It tons of new spells were added this way it might start to get silly having unique mobs for each, but as something unusual, its really cool.
