Nerfs

Okay, here's what I don't get...you're upset because you got the weapon with the assistance of others and now can't use it. Why not have those other people help you level? Really, 7 levels is not that much. And the reason you're not doing much dmg is that it sounds like you haven't kept up your training in ALL weapon types (which any good warrior should ALWAYS do).

God forbid a warrior should LFG...and you already said you have a druid hanging around. If your druid is too high to group with yoru warrior, do a little "/ooc 23 warrior LFG - have druid level XX to cast buffs on us and help with leveling"

Easy enough solution really...

Onje more thing...at level 25 you can use mithril weapons. Buy him two of those mithril piercers (forget the name) that are 8/19. You'll be tearing stuff apart nice. Another option is mithril daggers which are 7/16 I think.

Any warrior worth a darn I've ever met kept *all* their weapon skills up. I always thought it just kinda went without saying. Your deficiencies in certain weapon skills hardly support your complaint.

A group of 23's can get all of the pieces for starfall, its not as though i'm level 3 and bitching about it, i dont keep my other skills trained because i see no reason to, I just think thats its fucking lame that they NERFED something with no warning its true its THERE server they also want our donations and it would be nice just to get a heads up, I wouldnt have worked that hard on getting the weap had i known 2 weeks later i wouldnt be able to use, if a 23 WAR wasnt meant to get the weap why was i ALLOWED to?

As usual, a knee-jerk reaction to an issue just proved to be unreasonable and/or irrational under even the slightest examination, triggering a bit of tap dancing on the OP's part. We've all seen it a thousand times. /shrug

The moral to the story? At least try to see *both* sides of an issue before throwing a hissy.

Btw, I don't know about you, but I'm not accustomed to getting a "warning" on nerfs. They occur when the devs deem necessary. Suck it up.

Not to hijaak, but you should really keep all your weapon skills trained. If you do, then when that awesome new 2hb drops, you can pick it up and use it effectively instead of not being able to hit with it for a while, and thus not being able to keep the agro and keep things your fighting from killing the other members of your party. It's much easier to carry around a couple extra weapons, even if they're inferior, and using them just long enough every level to get your 5 points of skill than it is to get 100 points of skill in a particular weapon later on. As good as your starfall weapon looks now, you WILL want to replace it with another in time. ;)

Actually, they BALANCED something. Just because it was different before, doesn't mean that it was right or good.

And in another 2 weeks, or a month, you'll be able to use it again. The time wasn't wasted, you'll still get your use out of the weapon.

This is a valid observation, and a valid suggestion would be to raise the level you could do the quest. With dynamically changing content (the content is, after all, growing and getting better over time) things won't always be perfect in every way. The staff does a great job of taking reasonable, constructive suggestions and integrating them.

I find it hard to believe you haven't twinked out your warrior at all... :-/ What's his/her name?

Or maybe you're being sarcastic and saying you have a twink and someone else is jealous? I'm confused here...

Yeah I read the thread, but I didn't see where you posted a name, or that you had an idol of melee, or that you had Lecatiar's Ring. :-/ I'd say that ring, a near full suit of dalium, and idol of melee is a bit more than "not that twinked". But I may not have read everything in the thread, so what the heck do I know anyway?

A note to the crowd watching: Never, ever, ever do what this poster did.

edit: That said, some changes are bound to piss off some people, and donations that get canceled because of unpopular changes are unlikely to come back. It's a known phenomenon.

In that case you should prolly start a couple plat donations cause tho i dont plan to a bunch of ppl allready have, I dont have log's turned on for irc but i think wiz said he lost 4or5 platinum donaters, so go for it!
 
We've reconsidered. If you are a donator, you can ask us to do things, and we'll do them for you, no questions asked, or balancing required. Your decision was to undo this nerf, so I've undone it! Others can feel free to ask!
 
Or does that sound like an incredibly stupid idea? Pandering to the masses would force everyone to throw down money and make the server terribly unbalanced. Do you see where I'm going with this?

edit nevermind, misread his latest post--I wonder how I might have done that, considering how it's spelled?
 
Rab, saying bow to me is not what i was saying, heaven forbid you guys make recamended levels.... 29/20 weap is 29/15 etc, instead of a straight nerf, I just think that nerfs are lame, make it less affective etc but to make it so i can use at all, thats just retarded, it is possible to get your starfall before 30'sh with out a high level helping you it just takes groups to do the shit, the nerfs are retarded, i can see a 1 roug not being able to use a Dragon raid drop'd weap but thats not whats I'm arguing against i just think its retarted dont nerf... FIX

I've never seen a nerf in that game only fixes.
Hell I play a Necro and I never missed my twitching line (except the times I group with Sevrenth :p) and that is much more than a req level. You can go out, level up and use the weapon but even at Level65/maxx AA I won't have my twitch back.
Swallow it, think a bit and change your way of playing so you will be ok again.
I really would like to see a single group taking out for example the shaman in Shrouded for he is a Level 36 shaman mob with pet.
Show me a non-twinked, not buffed Level 20 group that will take him down.

But anyways since you obviously aren't able to understand any intelligent comment of people and no one is able to get that far down to your level I won't say anymore. Some people just aren't able to use even the smallest part of their brain and hell it looks like we found one here.
