I might get banned for saying this but I think its a valid point. When people argue or want to talk about a class sucks etc, the response is "Get to the endgame it will be better", I'm not going to get to the endgame, Ever, its not what I want to do, its not what I have time to do, I just enjoy playing after I get off work, and sometimes before I go, the response to someone saying "Rogues arent very good" is get to the endgame and it will be better, I dont want to! I should be able to play my rogue and not be poor dps etc till the endgame, getting to the endgame should be fun too!

You're not poor DPS in the low or mid game. There are other issues with rogues at the low and mid levels that we're working on, but they don't have much or anything to do with a lack of DPS. "Wait for the end game" is more of a reconciliatory thing because we haven't done it yet. We have a lot of work and not a lot of people to do that work, so be patient and stop being demanding, because we don't owe you shit.
 
This is the worst post I have ever seen. First of all, the topic of it describes absolutely nothing happening in the post. Secondly, the post isn't even controversial for the topic name. Thirdly, the post is so illegible I can barely read it. Which all brings me to the point that this could have very well have been wrote by a 12 year old.

I can make out your point in your post, but it's so 'Fix it, now!' it hurts. Why don't you offer some solutions to the problem instead of just presenting the issue. That's the first step to a good post. And another good way to make a good post is to not act like a child posting with a topic, 'I am going to get banned because I am such a badass.'

Now for the real topic, I have a level 47 Paladin and I have played him fairly consistant for the past 3 years, I absolutely have a blast on him. He's not the usual grind to the end as you say, he's just a relaxation. So personally, with much more experience in the midlevel then you, I find it is excellent. All this while Paladins supposidly are the unbalanced class along with magicians.

Not trying to be a male genetalia (or a female one either at that) but if you are going to insult someone's post-coherence PLEASE try to utilize correct grammar in at least one sentence in your own post. Let me rewrite your post in English for those who are reading with a background in that language:

Wow... Sometimes the best irony could not have been written by the best fiction authors of our time.

I agree that the OP had a relatively craptacular (I realize it is not a word) grasp over posting etiquette but I really do not feel that those living in glass houses should be throwing stones. From what I can tell, you're living in a gasoline-soaked tent, throwing molitov cocktails.

P.S. I realize the grammar-edited post isn't perfect; I wasn't about to fix logic, sentence-layout, grammar AND spelling... come on.
 
The kid has a good point, classes should be enjoyable through all levels. That said, it's a two-way street, you gotta make the effort to enjoy the ride also.

Personally I can't enjoy a class properly until I get most of their defining abilities at around the early 20's, from then on it's cool. But that's just me.
 
Yeah, enjoying a character from start to finish would be nice, but as you stated, for many the enjoyment begins when you get your class defining abilities around 20ish. So, the answer would have to be to give all classes their class defining abilities at lvl 1? Heh... I know that's not what you meant, but was something that struck me.

I've oftentimes wished (and mentioned in my circle of friends) that the LOW level game (1-20 or so) wasn't somewhat boring. Someone will undoubtedly respond to this and say "Enjoy the progression and content and stop trying to grind to get a certain level..." or some such crap, but I'm referring more to things like the fact that Mages and Beastlords don't get their pets 'til 8 or 9 or something like that.... Their entire careers revolve around these pets, since they ARE pet classes, and they have to play through some (I think) painful levels to get them. In comparisson, Necros get their pet sooner but also have Snare, DoT's and some other utility spells during those levels whereas I believe Mages get some nukes and the ability to summon food, water and daggers... and BSTs get melee. I play a Necro, so I'm not saying I want them to get their pet later, but it seems odd for pet classes to have to wait so long. My point is to say that while the 1-10 game SHOULD take like a single evening (as per most peoples' comments) and goes by VERY fast when twinked to the teeth, a complete newcomer to Dalaya (or God forbid MMORPG's in general) is going to have a really hard time in those first 10 or so levels and it's likely to take quite some time. My friends and I are veteran EQLive players and have played several other MMORPGS as well and we probably each had over a day, maybe day and a half /played before we hit 10... Granted, that's because we were in the "wrong" zones (started out trying Steamfont, then Stinger's Bog where we FINALLY managed to get a couple levels) and whatnot but it was still a bit frustrating.

I believe I have meandered a good bit off the beaten path of this thread. I started a Rogue the other night because I had always wanted to play one on Live, and all the discussion intrigued me. I was somewhat surprised that I believe I am doing a good bit less melee damage in the LOW (1-6 or whatever I am atm) level range than my Cleric was... both just using weapons that dropped from trash mobs. Maybe Rogues, when they talk to The Third (since they don't get anything from this mob, having chosen not to use magic) they could get a perma-buff that gave them some sort of damage % modifier when using piercing weapons? That's probably a dumb idea, because it would likely not scale well and would only help the first few levels; and even then it would likely make Rogues TOO powerful for the first several levels.

I can't speak for the 10-55 range which is where people seem to have their complaints, but I imagine I'll be much more satisfied with my Rogue after dual wield, double attack and grabbing a couple decent weapons.

You wrote my post in a different way. You may have changed one or two errors but quite simply, you just changed the post to your preference. And that was not even the point of the post, I was trying to get through to him that he needed to specify a solution. Anyways, thanks for stating my post again.

You make my world go round, Calaran. You are simply the kind of person that puts the drive in me every day so I can surpass you in life.
